The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Talk:Randomness
Weak Keep. Somewhat noteworthy, but only a little. Miles (talk - contribs) 19:58, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Keep on condition Someone needs to make the article moar descriptive and less trivial. Blue Ninjakoopa Talk to me 20:03, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Keep. I've beefed up the article quite a bit (now it deals with all facets of randomness in Smash Bros.), so it's good to keep now. Toomai (talk) 15:08, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Keep - Toomai has cleaned it up quite nicely. Meteorite (talk) 15:10, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Looks like the consensus is keep. Please contribute to the page and flesh out the article more! Silverdragon706/FyreNWater - (T • C ) 10:10, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Move Back[edit]
I don't approve of the new title, the random character select in Brawl and the random stage select in all of them is called Random, not Randomness, and that is one focus of the article. Toast ltimatum

- random isnt a noun. Randomness is. The manual of style says a the article name is supposed to be a noun. ShupaRoeh

This is why I put up a suggestion instead of just moving it. "Random" is what the common function is called and is the main source of links to the page. "Randomness" is preferred as a noun title and is the more correct term for what the page as a whole is about. I don't really know which way is better. Toomai Glittershine The Zesty 18:14, 30 July 2012 (EDT)
I prefer the current title, because even though randomness is the noun, the word just looks untidy. ScoreCounter (talk) 05:45, 24 August 2012 (EDT)
I support "Randomness". Although, where named, it's always called "random", it appears unnamed in the game in plentiful instances, whence "randomness" is applicable. —Smiddle my sig is not fancy 05:51, 24 August 2012 (EDT)
The Wikipedia article of similar nature is called Randomness, and @Toast: this describes more than just the random stage select and random character select. DoctorPain99 {ROLLBACKER} 18:51, 22 September 2012 (EDT)
I support Randomness, although I wouldn't care much if it stayed at Random either. Air Conditioner -.-- -.-- --..! 19:43, 23 September 2012 (EDT)
I'll move this to randomness if no one can provide a strong refute. Toast's opposition is completely refuted by the fact this article covers random events as the subject, and not random character/stage select. Omega Tyrant 12:52, 27 September 2012 (EDT)
Having looked at the subsection detailing the random button, it does detail the effects more than the button itself, so the page can probably be moved now. Randomness doesn't have the same flair as Random, but that's the only thing that could possibly oppose the move now, I change my stance to Support. Toast ltimatum

deletion tag[edit]
I say we keep this page, this page lists all random events in Super Smash Bros. based off of a recent tag. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) 23:58, 3 March 2014 (EST)
