Talk:Metal Box
Mr. Game and Watch doesn't have a voice. What's the point of saying it removes voices with the exception of him? JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 14:30, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well, his voice can refer to the sounds he make while moving, attacking, etc. Xeze (talk) 14:34, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Those are sound effects. The equivalent of sword-swinging sounds made by swordsmen, or sparcky electric sounds from Pikachu. I'll change the article accordingly. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 14:52, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
The article says that being Metal decreases the jumping height, but I figured out it actually increases it. If you want to test it do the following: go to training mode and choose the same character as the player and opponent. (for ex. two Mario's). Go to Battlefield and set the opponent stats to "Control". Place both characters under a platform and use it as a reference line. Spawn a Metal Box and grab it with one of them. Then perform a single jump with both (not simulaneously). You will notice that the metal one jumped higher. Try it and tell me your results. It applies for both Melee and Brawl. Galleries[edit]
I think there should be a sub-page with the character galleries. It should be named something like Metal Box/Character Gallery. Anyone else agree? F.T.B. (TALK) 20:37, 20 March 2013 (EDT)
- Support Actually, I was thinking of a similar idea on a different page, but this will work, too. Will this gallery also include both Melee and Brawl forms, or just we sub that even further to have separate pages? Airconny (talk) 20:44, 20 March 2013 (EDT)
- I think including both Melee and Brawl galleries on the page would be easier because just subbing it even further seems pointless. F.T.B. (TALK) 20:49, 20 March 2013 (EDT)
- It has been done for False character. --RoyboyX Talk 20:54, 20 March 2013 (EDT)

Audio idea[edit]
Should the audio file for Brawl's footsteps in metal form also be added?Boo Buddy (talk) 06:48, 8 July 2013 (EDT)
- In Brawl it gives everyone the same sound. Scr7 11:25, 9 July 2013 (EDT)
Metal Box Effects in SSB4[edit]
It seems that the Metal Box in the newest Super Smash Bros. game does not boost the knockback of the user's attacks. Are there other changes to similar items like this? LimitCrown (talk) 01:58, 25 February 2015 (EST)
- Well, through experimentation, I've discovered shrinking a character doesn't change their defense (which, unless I'm mistaken, it did before). Aidan the Aura Master 10:22, 25 February 2015 (EST)
I can also confirm that the mutiplier that is applied to a characters' weight whenever the Metal Box is equipped by them is more than 3.125x in Smash 4 because Metal Bowser is heavier than Giga Bowser. LimitCrown (talk) 17:32, 25 February 2015 (EST)
- Metal Bowser is heavier than Giga Bowser? Dayum. And I thought Giga Mac weighing more than Wario-Man was a shocker... Aidan the Aura Master 20:01, 25 February 2015 (EST)
SSB4 Metal Pictures[edit]
I can get Ryu (in about 10-11 days, though; I'm about to head on a flight to NYC and then to Paris), but would someone be willing to get Roy and Lucas? (You can also get ahead of me and get Ryu, if you want.) Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 15:06, 17 June 2015 (EDT)
Two Players (or more) + One Metal Box=[edit]
So I still have a replay of me (Dr. Mario (SSB4)) vs. a Lv. 9 CPU Pikachu (SSB4) on Omega Temple. In the middle of the match, Dr. Mario and Pikachu did a simultaneous attack near a Metal Box and somehow we both got the item's effect. I'm not sure if this can occur other items.
