Reasoning for putting Mario's jab 3 under "Similar moves"[edit]

This discussion page is a response to Zeckemyro, who claims that the only thing mario's jab 3 has in common with Luigi's jab 3 is that they're jab 3's. I humbly disagree; Mario's jab 3 comes out on the same frame, ends a frame sooner than Luigi's is interruptible, and deals the same damage, base knockback, and knockback scaling. Thus, I'm re-adding it to similar moves.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mariogeek2 (talkcontribs) 12:19, July 12, 2024 (EDT)

Second, do not re-add it to similar moves if this is still an ongoing discussion, as that would be considered an edit war. Wait for Zeckemyro to respond. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 12:54, July 12, 2024 (EDT)
The moves you added as similar do have similar knockback and damage, but every Jab 3 does even when the values aren't identical. Their knockback in 'Melee' is always generally on the lower side with only certain exceptions.. The similar moves section is mostly there for moves that visually look alike. Captain Falcon and Ganondorf's down aerials link to each other because they look alike. Their knockbacks are completely different thanks to Captain Falcon having a spike and Ganondorf being absurdly strong. Luigi's jab 3 is a hip check. There's no other jab 3 that actually looks like it in any Smash game. If knockback was enough, the similar moves section of every move would just be bloated.
