Does the Knee Smash not count as a semi-spike? Lasgna (talk) 13:37, November 29, 2018

It's not really clear because, as Toomai says on the talk page for semi-spikes, "the term is very poorly defined and misused" and "even a 30-degree angle can be considered a semi-spike if players use it as one." It's all up to player perception. If semi-spikes were solely defined by angle, then yes it absolutely would because Yoshi's down-smash is counted as one and it has the same knockback angle (30°). The article on the Knee Smash counts it as a semi-spike... if hit with the sourspot. Which is bizarre, since the weak hit has the sakurai angle. If I had to guess, I would say it's not counted as one because no one really thinks of it as one; to answer it definitively, a couple of mods will probably have to weigh in. Shouldn't the move links point to specific instances instead of general pages?[edit]

It doesn't make much sense (at least from my perspective) for a link to a move like "Back aerial" under Bowser to point to the Back aerial page. If a person is viewing Melee semi-spikes, they likely want to have the specific technical details, which can be found on the move's hitbox page, such as "Bowser (SSBM)/Back aerial". This issue also has the side effect of making it too easy to accidentally add duplicate links; I counted 2x Down Smash, 2x Down tilt, and 2x Back aerial links. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mariogeek2 (talkcontribs) 11:53, October 19, 2024 (EDT)

That wouldn't be a bad idea. It was brought up a while ago on the discord server about doing something similar for the changelists. Probably a few other articles where it would be good to do, but it is a lot of work. --CanvasK (talk) 12:08, October 19, 2024 (EDT)
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback. Mariogeek2 (talk) 12:30, October 19, 2024 (EDT)

Which moves are missing?[edit]

User:Variaamaxxing added the incomplete tag. As far as I'm aware, there's no missing moves from the list. If I don't get any feedback about this, I'll just remove it in like 1 or 2 weeks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mariogeek2 (talkcontribs) 15:19, November 28, 2024 (EST)
