Merge proposal

• Just want to say I Support this move as one of the people who inflated the merge proposals with all the advanced techniques. Section needs a lot of cleaning up. --Plague von Karma 15:27, January 23, 2023 (EST)
• I do not think the Special Canceling and Kara Canceling should be merged. Maybe I'm biased because I am a Ryu/Ken co-main, but I do think there is more than enough unique about each that each page could have unique sections on things such as tips and other techniques (negative edge, etc) -Flamingpaper (talk) 00:34, February 4, 2023 (EST)
• Are we going with the fgc definition of kara canceling or is the ssbwiki version of kara canceling solely going to refer to the Ryu, Ken, & Terry technique? Because technically a boost grab is also a kara cancel (if you want to be pedantic about it, it's more specifically a kara throw). If we go with the fgc definition, then it's incorrect to classify it as a special cancel, just like jump-cancelling is not a special cancel. I don't have the time currently to edit the article to add in a section on boost grabbing, but I could at the very least remove the "merge" banner. Mariogeek2 (talk) 13:28, December 9, 2024 (EST)
  • Bumped because it's been over two weeks since I posted; I also wanted to add that if we're going with the fighting game glossary definition, then it occurred to me that we could also add the DACUS, glide tossing, and the Attack cancel short hop aerial/Attack cancelling from SSBU. Tips section

Would it be appropriate to add a somewhat detailed tips section for how to use Kara Cancelling? I know a lot about Ryu and Ken and have done quite a bit of testing with Late Kara Cancelling and could definitely make a mini guide for how to utilize it. Would DACUS in Brawl be a type of kara cancelling?
