Talk:Bowser Jr. (SSB4)
Footage? 72.105.4.191 12:35, 26 August 2014 (EDT)
- Footage is unavailable, due to removal of said footage by NoA. However, numerous eye witness accounts and screenshots can confirm his appearance in the video leak prior to deletion. MegaTron1XD 12:50, 26 August 2014 (EDT)
Icon[edit]
Can someone make an icon of him (and Shulk/Ganondorf) using our limited resources? I would but I don't know the layout, nor do I have any of the screenshots. ...a new Nuttais approaching... 16:50, 26 August 2014 (EDT)
Inclusion of Bowser Jr. in the SSB4 Character Template?[edit]
Why is he there? I mean, I understand -why-, considering he was leaked during the ESRB leak, but why aren't other characters there? The same ESRB leak had Dark Pit, Duck Hunt Dog and Dr. Mario as characters, and they're not in the character template. 181.64.192.32 18:36, 4 September 2014 (EDT)
- Bowser Jr., along with Ganondorf, had video evidence leaking his playablity. We came to a decison that they would be counted, but the image-leaked characters would not.Qwerty (talk) 19:14, 4 September 2014 (EDT)
Fair enough, thanks for the explanation. 181.64.192.32 20:33, 4 September 2014 (EDT)
Koopalings[edit]
The leaker stated that all of Bowser Jr.'s palette swaps are the Koopalings. I know it hasn't been revealed on video, but it would be nice to be prepared. User talk:Ma321 181.64.192.32 12:27 6 September 2014 (EDT)
- Not yet. The game will be released in 6 days. We can wait and add it then. Plus, SW:NEWGAME. Rtzxy Smashing! 12:48, 7 September 2014 (EDT)
More Complete Artwork[edit]
I've found a picture of the render that shows more of the clown car. I can't add it because I don't have an account. [1]
- Thank you for the images, but please don't put them in the talk pages. If you want to show us some images, make a link to it. Rtzxy Smashing! 21:16, 11 September 2014 (EDT)
Bowser Jr.'s pummel[edit]
When he pummels, his hammer isn't similar to Eeekhammer from Paper Mario: Sticker Star? Bowser jr. appears in this game, right? 80.50.140.58 15:07, 13 September 2014 (EDT)
Include The Koopalings in the page more[edit]
Should we consider the name of the character as Bowser Junior and The Koopalings, since they are all equally represented? User:Gpev96
- No, because the game only refers to him as Bowser Jr. Also, sign your comments with ~~~~, please. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 17:05, 14 September 2014 (EDT)
Transparent is irrelevent[edit]
just because there is transparency on a picture doesn't mean its better than a high quality image, because really transparency is just for pictures with backrounds which wont be needed yet on most fan-arts or official websites like this and many others until the characters are officially revealed. For now, quality is the key point of the pictures we use here, not how advanced and cool we are by showing off what we have. Thesupernintendokid (talk) 19:51, 14 October 2014 (EDT)
- I have no idea what you're talking about, the palette images? The main artwork? Please clarify, thank you. If you meant the latter though, when we get his official artwork from the site in about a week, it won't matter
(even though it might be the same quality).Laikue (talk|contribs) 19:42, 14 October 2014 (EDT)- I'm talking about the fact that I'm putting in higher quality images but they revert it just because its not transparent, which doesn't even matter. would you want a picture that has great quality to see every strand of hair on a humans head or a bad quality image but you can use for fan-art? quality over quantity. this isn't Imgur, the pictures are aesthetic.
- Thesupernintendokid (talk) 19:51, 14 October 2014 (EDT)
- I wouldn't worry too much about it, transparency is actually important (not sure exactly what for, but there was something I can't remember) and we'll have a much higher quality version of his artwork in the next...... 3-9 days approximately and it will likely be better than both images. Laikue (talk|contribs) 19:56, 14 October 2014 (EDT)
- If I remember correctly, it's because it looks better when displaying on things like pages for the actual games. Return of Air Conditioner ...or is he? 20:00, 14 October 2014 (EDT)

Wii U Screenshot[edit]
It says in the News section of the front page that Bowser Jr. and Jigglypuff were shown in a Wii U screenshot. Could someone upload that screenshot here? Because... I really want to see it, and I'm sure some other people do too. --NintendoNinjaCarson (talk) 21:05, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
- Got it. It's a little hard to see them, but they're there. Rtzxy Smashing! 21:29, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
Post-recovery aerial[edit]
Unless I'm mistaken, Bowser Jr. has a single aerial (the hammer swipe) for all directions when falling down after Abandon Ship. Should it receive a special classification or just repeated in every slot like it is now? -Menshay (talk) 17:44, 16 November 2014 (EST)
Final Smash[edit]
Thanks to this tweet, I believe we can confirm the name of the Final Smash Exclamation (talk) 18:12, 19 November 2014 (EST)
- We already established that. Aidan the Gamer 18:13, 19 November 2014 (EST)
So why does the chart on the mainspace page still say "Bowser Jr.'s Final Smash" or something very similar? I haven't used this type of code in years, so I do not wish to mess with the chart on my own Exclamation (talk) 08:49, 21 November 2014 (EST)
Attack names[edit]
Right, since I never got an answer for this, I went ahead and created attack names for a few characters. I consulted my resident random number generator and it said to start with Bowser Jr. Of course, this could get pretty messy if I just go ahead, so I'll show them here first just in case there's something hugely wrong with putting them. Let me know what you think, if you would, please. Thanks in advance.

There. Nymbare and his talk
- Here's our rule on move names: never use unofficial names or names made by you. Only use official names given by the games themselves, or otherwise a widely-used name, but the latter option is quite rare and should be used rarely, if at all.
- Trying to implement these unofficial names will just result in the edit being reverted, as the unofficial names were removed from both Mario and Greninja's page. Rtzxy Reflect! 21:27, 12 December 2014 (EST)
- Ah, alright then. That's fine. Thanks for answering. Nymbare and his talk 21:58, 12 December 2014 (EST)

Question[edit]
Why is Bowser Jr. getting so many attack move pages created (such as Forward Smash) but not any other character? SmashBros (talk) 10:25, 15 December 2014 (EST)
- Because people are busy. Hell, several characters from previous games don't even have their attack pages made. It's also a very time-consuming task. See, people have to gather all the hitbox information about the attack before the page in question can be made. It's a lot easier said than done, really. BlueStreak Speeds By 10:31, 15 December 2014 (EST)
Missing Attack?[edit]
If you tilt forwards while ducking as Bowser Jr., he'll stab downwards with his fork. Idk if other characters have this, but... The only attacks I could find involving his fork on this page don't match what I've seen. Anyone else seen this? ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 21:31, 15 December 2014 (EST)
- I tried the same thing with Pikachu and Mr. Game & Watch and it failed. Pikachu just used his Down Tilt while Game & Watch just used his Forward Tilt. I took pictures of Bowser Jr. using either attack, and it's very similar to his Forward Tilt, so I might just be crazy. I'm gonna continue testing. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 21:38, 15 December 2014 (EST)
Voice Actor Spelling[edit]
I've noticed...a small inconsistency.
On this page, it lists Bowser Jr.'s VA as "Catey Sagoian", and that's all fine and dandy. But the inconsistency is the fact that, over here, Bowser Jr.'s voice actor is listed as "Caety Sagoian".
I just want to double check and see which spelling is correct. BlueStreak Speeds By 12:48, 26 January 2015 (EST)
- I am literally so confused right now. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4089094/ http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2842167/ Maybe her name was misspelled in like half the games? Google asked if I meant "Caety Saogian" when I searched for Catey Saogian, so maybe that's the correct one? Laikue (talk | contribs) 13:02, 26 January 2015 (EST)
- Actually, looking closer at the imdb pages, seems like misspelling is the main cause, and it was spelled "Catey" in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS which explains why we have that spelling. As for which is correct, I'm leaning towards Caety still. Laikue (talk | contribs) 13:05, 26 January 2015 (EST)
- If that appears to be the case, then I guess I'll go change it... BlueStreak Speeds By 13:07, 26 January 2015 (EST)

Junior Clown Car Propeller[edit]
When Bowser Jr. used moves like his Down-B and Down aerial, a hatch opens up on his cart. In previous updates the propeller dissapeared when using these attacks. I have noticed that with update 1.1.3 that the propeller stays during these attacks, at least in the 3ds version of the game. Is this work putting in the update history? The822man (talk) 15:02, 18 December 2015 (EST)
If it were true, yes in terms of aesthetics, but it's actually not true. It has always stayed attached to the hatch prior to the latest update as well. Aardvarkian (Talk • Contributions) 15:06, 18 December 2015 (EST)
So what I meant to put in that edit summary was[edit]
That the Mexico City PR isn't really that notable, and thus should not impact this page. Also, being ranked does not guarantee a spot in notable players. If we took the top 30 players of a character from each region, the section would be massive. Serpent King 19:35, 29 January 2016 (EST)
Drill Loop Glitch[edit]
I have encountered a glitch that involves looping hitboxes belonging to Bowser Jr.'s drills. In the case of both down throw and forward smash, using the timer item of Bowser Jr. will result in additional hits from the drills during the looping section of the moves, hence increasing the moves' damage outputs. I have been unable to find another character affected by this so far, so it appears to be an issue with how Bowser Jr.'s drills' looping hitboxes interact with frame-speed multipliers. Does anyone have an explanation for why this happens? Alex the Jigglypuff trainer 09:07, 11 August 2018 (EDT)
- This might be a general issue where local time is slowed and a hitbox with rehit rate wants to hit on the same frame it's being deleted. Toomai Glittershine The Interspacial 10:30, 11 August 2018 (EDT)
