Revan is a Smash 64 player from Ottawa, Ontario, and considered by many to be the top North American Kirby main, Ontario's best player and Canada's third strongest player after SuPeRbOoMfAn and The Z. He was ranked 1st on the unified Ontario Power Rankings. He is currently ranked ranked 1st on the Ottawa 64 Power Rankings and 30th on the 2019-2020 Smash 64 Power Rankings.

Revan is renowned for being among the best with controller DI. He is also playfully know as the main '5 stock conch' player, a new tradition unique to Smash 64, originated at ODS and continued at G3. He frequently does commentary and is know for his informative, analytical approach.

Prior to the summer of 2014, Revan was primarily active as one of the top players in Ottawa's burgeoning Melee scene. Since then, he has concentrated on Smash 64 and become one of the most active console players in North America, making regular trips to Toronto, Montreal, and the U.S.A.. In April 2016, Revan traveled to Japan to participate in Kansai 2016 where he finished 13th. In February 2017, he participated in BEAST 7 in Sweden where he finished 2nd.

In August 2014, Revan created the ECHO tournament series in Ottawa, Canada and has acted as a tournament director and Smash 64 tournament organizer.

Tournament history[edit]

Revan's first tournament appearance was at IMPULSE 2013 where he finished a surprise second, taking sets off a veritable who's who of Ontario Smash 64 including YBOMBB, B Link, Sex, Unreal, and Fck Vwls. At his second tournament, Smash Till You Crash 4, Revan again finished second defeating The Z in losers finals, before losing to SuPeRbOoMfAn in grand finals. He defeated YBOMBB convincingly (3-0, 3-1) in Grand Finals at Flaoc 4 for his first tournament win.

His first international appearance was at Apex 2014 where he placed 17th, defeating Han Solo in the second round of pools, though failing to make it out due to losing to tacos (after having lost to Isai in the first round of pools). At Apex 2015 he defeated Firo (2-1) to move into the final 16, before losing to Star King (2-1) to finish in 13th.

At Beast of the Northeast in May 2015 in New Hampshire, Revan beat Fireblaster (3-0) in Losers Finals before losing to KeroKeroppi (3-2) in Grand Finals to finish second. In a stacked Xanadu on August 5th, 2015 in Baltimore, Revan defeated Tacos (2-0) in Losers Finals before losing to SuPeRbOoMfAn (2-0) in Grand Finals to finish second.

At Pound 2016 Revan had his best international performance to date, finishing 4th after beating Firo and Wizzrobe in top 8 before losing to KeroKeroppi. At Get On My Level 2016 Revan repeated his 4th place finish beating YBOMBB and Wizzrobe in top 8 before being eliminated by The Z.

Trivia[edit]

  • Revan is known for popularizing a tradition from the Los Angeles Smash 64 community, where after a player has been "5-Stocked" he/someone would mimic the sound of blowing a horn. Revan used a conch shell to amplify the "5-stock horn" at Operation Desert Smash 1, where the Smash 64 community fell in love with the act. This has been featured in Pound 2016, GOML 2016, Operation Desert Smash 2, and Super Smash Con 2016. When watching these tournaments take notice of the commentators referencing the conch, or even the conch itself.
