The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

SmashWiki:Requests for adminship/Gargomon251
Gargomon251
GalaxiaD recommended I check this out. It would be nice to be able to do things like protect pages, block users, merge pages etc., I'm just not sure how much time I can devote to this. Maybe I just need a little more information. I have many positive comments on my talk page, and I always check for vandalism/errors in the late hours, but I'm never here on any particular schedule, and I know I've made some hasty edits in the past. Also I won't be able to edit any SSB articles since I don't have it, and since I usually do this from my Wii, major edits at would require copying and pasting may prove difficult, given how bad my PC is. However, I do play often, and I am very good with the smaller edits like spelling and grammar, even if I'm unlikely to write entire articles or edit specific data such as character matchups, character history, or fan-games. Well, now that I think of it, this isn't a very convincing argument towards my adminship...hmm. Well maybe if others agree, I can find out what is required. - Gargomon251 (talk) 01:16, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Strong Support. The lack of PC thing does suck, but Gargomon has been a true asset to this wiki for some time now. I think he's deserving of the tools if only to make it easier for him to continue doing what he has been. Clarinet Hawk (talk) 01:20, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Strong Support. You're a great editor. I'm glad to see that you're running. --Posted by Pikamander2 (Talk) at 02:36, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Strong Support. Heck, I was the one who suggested he try this out in the first place. I truly do believe that he'll make a great sysop. With the tools of an admin at his disposal, there's nothing he won't be able to accomplish. He's the Leonardo da Vinci of SmashWiki. - GalaxiaD (talk) 02:46, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

- Gargomon has been doing this without a PC for the last six months. If he didn't tell me that he wasn't using a PC, I would never have known. His contributions are great; what does it matter what he's using to make them. Clarinet Hawk (talk) 15:31, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
You know what? Your right. I'm changing my vote to Support Kperfekt722 (talk) 20:50, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- Just a note, my PC works, but it's over ten years old, running on Windows2000. I can still make full page edits, but it's not gonna happen very often. Sometime this year I should get a new(er) PC from my brother and then it will be smooth. - Gargomon251 (talk) 02:45, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- Neutral Based on the nom and explanation of why he wants the tools, I don't want to support; but there's no reason to oppose. --Charitwo 06:58, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose I really don't see the need. Plus, you even said yourself you can't find the time to do it and it takes to long for you. Why become a sysop if you can't find the time to do it. I would vote support if you didn't bag yourself like that. Zmario (talk) 21:23, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- I just meant no MAJOR edits. Maybe the upcoming Firefox3 launch will make things smoother? - Gargomon251 (talk) 02:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Neutral I'm sorry Garg. But have you seen your comments on the Add A Fact talk page? Sure it's okay to correct, but a GOOD sysop would've showed the way to a new user. Instead of flaming, try correcting. Also, control your anger. I prefer IE though... But I heard the Fx3 features are similar to IE. Plus, it kinda makes you more lazy... I mean c'mon. Ctrl+B (not sure if thats the config) just to go to Back when you could just click the arrow up in the left corner. <_< ItemHazard (talk) 01:11, 24 June 2008 (UTC) ItemHazard
- Sorry, I know I overreact sometimes, but when it's always the same stupid mistakes, and I even added the disclaimer, even though it's not necessarily the same person every time. I can only be civil so many times before it really gets on my nerves, especially when some of these things seem outright stupid, like the "fact" about Wario-Man flying that's been widely known for well over 5 months or more. And I have no idea what you mean by "ctrl-b". I alwas click the Back arrow or Backspace. What browser is any different? How is that lazy?- Gargomon251 (talk) 05:28, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
