Jigglypuff (SSBU)/Down tilt

Overview[edit]
A low to the ground shin kick with a low semi-spike angle, making it useful for setting up edgeguards and gimping. Its knockback has been noticeably buffed from Smash 4, and it now possesses the ability to KO. However, its other weaknesses, namely its poor frame data and small hitboxes that barely cover Jigglypuff's foot, remain completely unaddressed. Combined with Jigglypuff's jumpsquat being significantly buffed in Ultimate, which grants it much faster access to its aerials from the ground, down tilt is arguably less useful that it was in the previous game, even if the move itself has objectively been buffed. As such, it is rarely used in competitive play.
Update History[edit]
- Down tilt deals more knockback.
