Ganondorf (SSBB)/Down smash
Overview[edit]
Ganondorf rears back before thrusting his right foot forward followed by his left foot. Should it connect, the first kick would typically lead into the second kick, dealing a maximum of 19%. While the move has decent range on both hits, it is quite slow for a down smash, coming out at frame 16 and lasting 64 total frames. Additionally, attempting connecting both hits can be inconsistent, as the first hit has a hitbox at point blank range that send opponents away from him with a 50° angle, causing the 2nd hit to miss. In addition, it is rather weak for a smash attack and for a character of super heavyweight's archetype, survivable even past 150% from the center of Final Destination.
Overall, while Ganondorf's down smash has good range and raw damage output, it is slow, laggy, fails to connect reliably into the finisher, and the finisher itself is not very strong. These factors cause this move to be one of the worst down smashes in the game.
