True Speedsters Only (追いつけ追いこせ! 最速ファイター決定戦, Catch Up and Overtake! The Fastest Fighter Playoffs), known as Fleet-Foot Frenzy in PAL regions, was an Event Tourney. It ran from 6 a.m. on January 22, 2021 to 6 a.m. on January 25, 2021 (UTC). The event featured 16 of the fastest characters in the game and 10 stages that are walk-offs with no initial pits.

- Only the 16 speediest fighters can enter this time-limited tourney! Dash around sprawling stages at breakneck speed, and claim pole position!

Trivia[edit]
- Mythra and Charizard are the only characters among the top 16 fastest fighters that are not selectable for this event. The former was released after this event's end date and she is paired with Pyra, while the latter is paired with Pokémon Trainer.
- Despite also being walk-off stages with no pits, Mario Bros., Onett, and Shadow Moses Island were not available for the event.
