Spud is a Marth player from New Zealand who is currently living in Perth Australia. He is ranked 1st in the New Zealand Melee Power Rankings. His breakout performance was at BAM7 where he beat several of Australia's top players and upset Alex19 in a close 3-2 set to place 7th overall. He started playing Smash in 2014.
He made his US debut at The Big House 6. In round 2 pools he lost to 4% and Ryan_K to finish at 97th place.
At Don't Park on the Grass he cruised through round 1 pools without dropping a game notably beating Rudolph in winners final of that pool. In round 2 he lost to Hungrybox 0-2, then beat Iceman 3-1 to make bracket. He then beat Mike Haze 3-1, before losing to The Moon 1-3 to finish at 17th place.
