The editor who added this tag believes this page should be cleaned up for the following reason: Overfocus on Brawl when stage jumps (the ones performable by a majority of characters) exist in almost all games

Pikachu performing a stage jump under Smashville in a match against Meta Knight.

A stage jump refers to the act of travelling under a stage with a character and returning on the other side, performable on any stage that has a considerably large platform that can be skipped under. In general, it's easier to perform with good jumpers such as Jigglypuff, or characters with exploitable physics such as Meta Knight, who may utilise gliding. Stage jumps may be used to surprise an opponent, or simply for recreational purposes. Stage jumps are sometimes performed in competitive play to avoid pressure while the opponent is edgeguarding. The Hyrule Jump is perhaps the most popular stage jump.

in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

New Pork City jump

It is possible to jump from the rightmost platform of New Pork City, under the stage, and up through the breakable platform. This is similar, but more difficult than, the Hyrule Jump as both a good horizontal and vertical recovery are required.

Final Destination jump

A jump similar to the Hyrule Jump can be employed on Final Destination in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where certain characters can travel under the stage from one end and emerge at the other. The Final Destination jump can be used as a method to surprise one's opponent. It is often used as a test of a character's horizontal recovery. For example, Meta Knight's ability to perform the jump several ways is an indicator of his above-par recovery.

Other jumps

Stage jumps can also be performed under less common stages, such as Battlefield or even Corneria. These types of jumps tend to only be possible by a small handful of characters with exceptionally good recoveries.
