| The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
| When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Section editing
If you wish to edit multiple sections of a page, click on the Edit tab on top and go from there, instead of editing each section one at a time. That way, you can consolidate them into one edit and you won't flood Recent Changes with section edits. Thanks! Berrenta (talk) 14:29, 5 February 2015 (EST)
Interwiki Links
When linking to a page on another wiki, it would be best to use {{s|other wiki|page name}} instead of [[other wiki:page name|text to show]]. There are some cases where the latter would be used, but if the text shown doesn't need to be changed, then you would use the template. I will apply that to over here, but I figured I'd tell you an easier way ahead of time.

Uploading images
When uploading an image, you shouldn't necessarily add it to every remotely related page. Sometimes a page doesn't need more images. Miles (talk) 11:56, 5 August 2015 (EDT)
I appreciate that you're a good faith editor, but this is getting frustrating. This is like the seventh or eighth time I've seen you do this, where you upload a questionably-useful image and put it on every single page that has anything to do with it. Please make more of an effort to consider whether a page really needs more or different images before uploading. A lot of the time they don't. Miles (talk) 19:24, 6 October 2015 (EDT)
- I hate to pester you on this subject, but I'm afraid I have to say this as a warning this time. You don't need to upload so many pictures of the same thing, or re-upload over your own image repeatedly, or re-upload a deleted picture. More pictures is not always a good thing. Please exercise a bit more restraint in your uploading and usage of images, and keep it to what's needed. If you want to help with pictures, try to focus on articles that need them.
