Talk:Little Mac (SSB4)
Attack Descriptions
I've wrote a pretty in depth article on Little Mac. I'm pretty sure I've played him more than anyone in the world currently outside of Nintendo. http://berathen.com/2014/07/little-mac-complete-breakdown.php
I'd love to add attack descriptions for Little Mac just like many of the other characters already have. Venks (talk) 01:22, 17 July 2014 (EDT)
It should be noted that a fully charged KO gauge will be lost if Little Mac takes any damage before unleashing the KO Punch. --DJFlare84 (talk) 22:15, 21 October 2014 (EDT)
- …try not to respond to comments more than a month old. Plus, I think that's already on the article. Rtzxy Smashing! 22:18, 21 October 2014 (EDT)
?
Is Little Mac really confirmed for SSB4? I'm getting confused now...
173.51.59.173 17:13, 13 February 2014 (EST)
- It was confirmed via Nintendo direct ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) 17:13, 13 February 2014 (EST)
Final Smash
Was the name "Giga Mac" confirmed anywhere or is that just a specutative name someone decided to add? FirstaLasto (talk) 18:06, 13 February 2014 (EST)
- Technically not confirmed, but that's what it's called in the source game. Toomai Glittershine The Prismatic 18:03, 13 February 2014 (EST)
- Oh, thats an actual thing in one of the Punch Out games? My bad, I only played one. FirstaLasto (talk) 18:06, 13 February 2014 (EST)
Punch Out!!! (Wii) reference?
Should it be mentioned that his poster may be a reference to Donkey Kong's cameo in Punch Out Wii? 70.15.29.127 18:15, 13 February 2014 (EST)
Outrage
This is an outrage! I wanted Diddy Kong and/or Dixie Kong to be confirmed for SSB4! Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is released in Japan. Is there still a chance for them to appear?
- Pretty sure this is the wrong place to talk about it. FirstaLasto (talk) 18:46, 13 February 2014 (EST)
- Still isn't there a chance for Diddy and/or Dixie to appear in this game?

Power Meter
it was explained in a Game Xplain video that in the Punch Out!! arcade game, the Power Meter was used to win fights. In the game the Power Meter will go up with every couple attacks he lands, but would go down with every attack he takes. In the Smash bros trailer when showing off the Power Meter its shown that his Damage percentage stays 27% as it goes up. When it zooms in, Bowsers has little damage %, but when it zooms out when the Power Meter is at max, Bowser's hit% is in the 200's. This heavily, if not out right, implies that during the fight Mac was able to do nothing but deal damage, and not take it, resulting in his power meter going up. Exactly how it worked in the arcade game.

- Implied but not yet confirmed. We can afford to wait for confirmation before claiming it. Miles (talk) 13:05, 15 February 2014 (EST)
Sorry, but...
We saw Mac's stage before we saw his page. Do you think Miis may be in? (Sorry for speculation) 75.141.44.196 16:02, 19 February 2014 (EST)
- SW:TALK --72.53.134.85 16:27, 19 February 2014 (EST)
- No. How would they make movesets for Miis without everyone arguing that the player should be able to make their own movesets(which could be broken) or design their own Miis(which could be implemented if Miis actually had a chance)? ViciousViridian (talk) 21:35, 22 February 2014 (EST)

- Well, ViciousViridian, got you wrong. Miis are BOTH custom and designed! I guess I win! 72.105.76.31 19:17, 7 July 2014 (EDT)

Little Mac's Custom Moves
It seems his neutral custom moves have been revealed in a previous Famitsu article, but they've not been acknowledged yet. Source: [1] 38.124.7.10 13:05, 7 August 2014 (EDT)
Coinciding with Tropical Freeze's Release date
This doesn't seem like anything more than a coincidence to me, it seems like they just wanted to show him off in the Nintendo Direct, which just happened to be on this day. My guess is that Diddy was actually meant to be announced on that day, but due to the Direct, they pushed him back to the US release. (Which seemed odd to me) I do think it's worth a mention in the trivia, though. That guy Laikue (talk) 22:13, 31 August 2014 (EDT)
- I also agree, even if it was unintentional, it does help to show the connection Mac has with DK with his announcement being along side the release of Tropical Freeze. And it's not like having that there is hurting anyone. It's interesting Trivia, that's what a Trivia section is for to begin with.

Frickin overpowered
Little Mac is so cheap!!! His Smash attacks do FRICKIN TONS OF DAMAGE!! I do not know why you idiots don't have on the page that he is the more overpowered than Ike was in Brawl. So please add that to the page. Also, why is there some random black guy in Mac's win thing? - Please see SW:TALK. Opinions about a character have no place here. Berrenta (talk) 22:45, 14 October 2014 (EDT)
- I'm sorry you were misinformed, but this is a FACT not an opinion. Also, a man should have a right no speak, no? Why do you try to limit my freedom of speech, huh? In other words stop being a dick and put that on the page. User: TheEpicSmasher —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.25.142.71 (talk • contribs) 17:33, 15 October 2014
- "Freedom of speech" does not mean "I'm free to break your rules", which you should stop. Besides, if LM was actually as overpowered as you claim, he would be winning every tournament ever, which isn't happening. Toomai Glittershine The Loony 18:00, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
- Also, sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). The unsigned template is a pain and a half to add.

Battle Damage
When Little Mac is over 100% damage, his face is bruised and has a bandage. An example can be found here. I feel like this should be mentioned on the page somewhere, especially since, according to the tips, it is unique to him. ScizorSteelix 00:09, 14 December 2014 (EST)
Neutral infinite SDI increased
Little Mac's natural combo is being escaped way more readily. In 1.0.7 I would (more) easily deal 19% with a jab lock, but now opponents are escaping very easily.
Also, his Slip Counter seems to activate a few frames later than normal. It's more difficult to escape an enemy Little Mac jab infinite or pillar of PK Fire with it. Blackbrass (talk) 13:09, 23 June 2015 (EDT)
Attributes
I think I preferred it when the attributes were about four, five paragraphs long. Right now it seems rather excessively large and detailed, which makes it very hard to read and understand in my eyes. I recall that other character attributes from previous games were more concise and understandable without explaining every single aspect. Couldn't Mac's attributes be at least be toned down? Shadow (talk) 04:41, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
I agree, so I put up a notice. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 04:44, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
