Gonzalo Barrios, aka ZeRo is a smasher from Chillán, Chile currently residing in Los Angeles, California. He has had "ZeRo" as his gamertag since 2005. He has been playing Smash since Smash 64 in 1999. He started to travel and play in tournaments in Chile in early 2007 during Melee. ZeRo quit Smash completely until December of 2010 and then focused only on Brawl but in early 2014, he picked up Melee again, as well as the Brawl mod Project M. He is currently the top ranked online and offline Brawl player in Chile, maining Meta Knight. He originally became famous in the United States by being one of the top players on All is Brawl. ZeRo is often considered to be the best Project M and Smash 4 player in the world, one of the best Brawl players in the world by having an extremely positive record vs the world's best players, and a top Fox player in Melee. Due to his top professional success with multiple Smash games, ZeRo is widely considered to be the 2nd best overall Smash player in the world, behind Mew2King.
Upon the release of Super Smash Bros. 4 ZeRo began focusing on it entirely, almost completely dropping Melee. After winning Apex 2015 Smash 4 singles and doubles, and the announcement that Smash for Wii U would be at EVO 2015, ZeRo announced on his twitter that if he won Smash for Wii U at EVO 2015, he would focus on Melee exclusively for at least one year, citing Leffen as his inspiration.

Trivia
- The only players that ZeRo holds a negative record against in Brawl are ADHD (3-5), Dabuz (0-1), and Mikeneko (0-1).
- ZeRo is a huge anime enthusiast. He often posts in his social media about different shows he enjoys, like Hunter x Hunter, No Game No Life and more.
- ZeRo stopped playing Melee around 2009, but returned to it in February of 2014 for the summer big Melee events.
- ZeRo learned English by playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time when he was 4 years old by using a dictionary with the help of his mother.
- ZeRo is a very methodical player. He often memorizes specific percents or compiles lists of information to improve his game.
- ZeRo wears a signature white scarf that his mom gave him when he left Chile and Gunnar's Sheadog glasses.
