Master Hand and Kirby.
Master Hand teaming up with Crazy Hand

Master Hand reprises his role as the final boss of Classic Mode in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, at least at the lower intensities. In higher intensities, he is fought along with Crazy Hand and after taking a certain amount of damage transforms into a dark mass called the Master Core. This new entity takes the form of a giant humanoid, a scorpion-like beast, a set of floating swords, and eventually a copy of the player's character. When the doppelganger is defeated, the core is exposed in the form of an item similar in appearance to a Smash Ball, which the player must knock off of the stage, defeating him completely.

Unlike the previous games, Master Hand and Crazy Hand share a HP meter. They also have multiple new attacks, such as tossing energy balls to one another and opening a rift that sucks in characters that get caught inside.

Changes from Brawl to SSB4

An icon for denoting incomplete things.
  • On high Intensities, Master Hand will "Rip Open" after a set amount of damage is done and will become the Master Core.
  • Master Hand and Crazy Hand now share the same pool of HP.
  • Master Hand and Crazy Hand are heavily buffed; and also have a much larger moveset.
