The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Hi there![edit]
Welcome to our wiki, and thank you for your contributions! There's a lot to do around here, so I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.
- Read this first as it provides many great resources designed to help users get oriented with the wiki and become part of the community.
- Visit the recent changes to see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
- Questions? You can ask at the help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!
- Need help? The community portal has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit.
I'm really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!
Further[edit]
I know you - you're the creator of the TV Tropes article of a certain Pokémon fanfic. I'm the creator of the Wiki of that fanfic - have you checked it out? What was the author's reaction? RickTommy 07:24, 13 October 2014 (EDT)
- Could you mind linking it? Either here or on the TV Tropes page will do. I tried searching it, but couldn't get a hit... -Phineas81707
Image copyright tags[edit]
If you forget to tag an image while uploading, you can just add a template like {{fairuse}} after the fact. Also, asking on one talk page would suffice, rather than creating many with the same question. Miles (talk) 00:05, 10 December 2014 (EST)
- Gratefully noted. Phineas81707 (talk) 00:09, 10 December 2014 (EST)
Unlockable events (SSB4-Wii U)[edit]
Why did you delete the tree of unlockable events? —Fenhl 13:09, 24 December 2014 (EST)
- I think it was the right decision. Displaying trees in a list form is not necessary when an image is available, and I'm also working on a table form, which would also render the list obselete. Toomai Glittershine The Inconceivable 14:02, 24 December 2014 (EST)
My personal reason was that the list could easily have become confusing: this event unlocks this one and this one, the first unlocks this, this, then this, the second that, that, then that... Yeah, the image explained that much more easily than the tree could have. Phineas81707 (talk) 07:00, 25 December 2014 (EST)
- My concern with the image is that it doesn't link to the individual event articles, or even show the names. Hopefully User:Toomai's table will fix that. Alternatively, I was planning to ask for the adoption of the treeview CSS, which is used e.g. on the Minecraft Wiki for the trees seen on Chunk format. —Fenhl 10:07, 25 December 2014 (EST)
Copy Abilities[edit]
As a heads up, I won't be able to obtain the pictures for the Ryu, Roy and Lucas Kirbies for a not insignificant amount of time. I apologise for any inconvenience, if any, this causes. Phineas81707 (talk) 04:25, 15 June 2015 (EDT)
