pidgezero_one is a Canadian smasher. She mostly plays Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros., where she mains King Dedede and Kirby, and is also enthusiastic about Jigglypuff. She placed 33rd in Brawl doubles at Apex 2014 with Chris Fisch. She also regularly commentates matches, and frequently travels to major tournaments featuring Brawl.
pidgezero_one is most famously known for her efforts on Smashboards in raising awareness of unofficial Brawl Wi-Fi servers in anticipation of the shutdown of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Under the direction of Diddy Kong of Kitty Corp: Meow Mix, she wrote a guide detailing how to save friend code information to dedicated Brawl servers post-shutdown. Once the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection was disabled, she changed the guide into a walkthrough for setting up Brawl with the online servers through a variety of methods.
pidgezero_one also gained notability for reviving the offline tournament scene for Super Smash Bros. in Toronto. She owns the Ontario Smash community directory website, and creates and distributes promotional materials to spread awareness about the tournament community. For her efforts, she claims that she came very close to receiving an invitation to Super Smash Bros. Invitational, and was one of a select few smashers to receive a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS from Nintendo of Canada a week before official release.
pidgezero_one is a staff member at /r/smashbros, where she contributes to organizing online tournaments, managing the subreddit design, and overseeing operations in the IRC channel. She occasionally appears as a guest on the podcast SmashCast, and was a featured guest in CLASH Tournaments' Roundtable Discussion during Twitch's Smash Community Spotlight week.
