A Shaydas (ジェイダス Jeidasu, "Jdus") is an enemy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary mode, first appearing in the Lake Shore level. It appears to be very powerful and has a weak point on its chest, which looks like a shining red sphere. It is made up of a group of Shadow Bugs. It is very skilled with the two blades it carries, and is seen as a double-headed ninja-like shadow. It can teleport when stuck in an area and can also fly. Its attacks (a double slash and a triple slash) all involve swords. A Shaydas can also hold back both of its "arms" and then do one large slash as well. This will however leave it vulnerable to attacks.

Trophy description

An odd enemy with two heads. Its legs might suggest that it's a beast of some sort, but in actuality, a Shaydas is formed by swarms of Shadow Bugs. Maybe that's why recklessly attacking it will do no good--you must strike its pink core to defeat it. Just watch out for the giant blades that it brings to the party. Mind the blades, and pick your attacks wisely!
