Xenoblade is a franchise first represented in Super Smash Bros. 4. It is newest sub-series of the Xeno franchise which has spanned several systems and developers. The series is represented by the protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles, Shulk.
Franchise description
The Xeno series consists of three sub-series: Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Xenoblade. The last of these, Xenoblade, was the first one developed for a Nintendo platform and was developed by Monolith Soft, which had recently been bought by Nintendo. Xenoblade Chronicles is an open-world RPG whose English localization was realized as part of Operation Rainfall. A spiritual successor, Xenoblade Chronicles X, is currently in development for Wii U.

Characters
- Shulk: The protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles, Shulk wields the Monado, a unique sword, in battle. Shulk's playability was widely speculated prior to appearing in a series of video leaks.
