Meta Ridley is a mechanized version of Ridley. You fight him when your party consists of Robot, Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, Captain Falcon, Pikachu, Samus,and Pikmin & Olimar. You battle him on the Falcon Flyer. Meta Ridley's attacks can additionally send the Falcon Flyer reeling about. In this battle, it is attacking the ship as well and you have 2 minutes to beat it. It has completely different moves as Ridley and you have to jump whenever it hits the ship or you could fall. After it is defeated, the massive amounts of Subspace Bombs explode, covering the island in Subspace, taking everything in it, including Meta Ridley, into the Subspace.
He is notorious for being one of the most annoying bosses to turn into a trophy; he has a very long level leading up to his fight. Moreover, the fight only lasts 2 minutes, so the one trophy stand you get needs to be used well. If you hit him when he's not right above the ship, his trophy will fall into the pit of despair unless you run after it and grab it; a difficult task to perform.
