The Spaak (スパー, Spar) is a common enemy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary. It is first seen in the Midair Stadium during the second portion of the level.
Description
Spaaks are depicted as a cloud with facial features, a battery on their back and an octet of Tesla coils. A Spaak starts off as a white cloud, which attacks by shooting slow-moving electrical spheres with low knockback while remaining stationary during the attack. After taking a certain amount of damage, it turns into a black storm cloud, which shoots out fast-moving lightning beams with high knockback, while at the same time moving more evasively. Both attacks can be reflected, countered or absorbed. The battery on its back is its weak point and attacking it will result in double damage. Its normal mode is shown on the trophy, regardless of which form was caught via the Trophy Stand.

Name origin
Its name is a corruption of the word "spark", which references its appearance and electrical attacks.
Trophy
- Spaak
- A Subspace Army member who is mostly cloud but also reveals mechanical parts, like electrodes and batteries. In most cases, a Spaak is white and fires lightning, but it turns into a dark cloud after taking damage and chases you with fast lightning strikes. Its weak point is the battery on its back--attacking that should make it pretty easy to take down.
