Alpharad, or simply Alpha, is a smasher and YouTuber from Norman, Oklahoma, who is currently residing in Los Angeles, California. He was first known for his series of Super Smash Bros. 4 montages on YouTube entitled How to Play 101, as well as Story for Glory, and Challenge Mode, and although branching out to other content since, he is considered one of the most well-known Smash Bros. YouTubers, becoming the first Smash Bros. YouTuber to reach 1 million subscribers on November 22, 2018, and currently sits at 3 million subscribers.

Outside of content creation, he helped develop the Melee mod Silly Melee alongside MagicScrumpy and co-organized the The Quarantine Series alongside Cr1TiKaL during COVID-19. He was part of the streaming crew Tourney Locator until May 4th, 2016,[1] and was picked up by Panda two months later,[2] serving as their Creative Director for a period before stepping back in late 2019. Trivia[edit]

  • Occasionally, Alpharad will not take local tournaments seriously, using characters such as Wario-Man during bracket matches or partnering with a random person for doubles matches. He also uploaded a video of him at a tournament playing by himself as Wario-Man in doubles.
  • Alpharad had or was part of several other channels outside of his main channel: Alpharad Gold (formerly Alpharad Plus and then Alpharad Deluxe), in which he uploads content that is typically unedited; Alpharad Replay, which is used as a stream archive; Not Alpharad, in which he uploads very short comedy videos and snippets of his life as well as clips from his videos on his other channels; and Friends Without Benefits, a collaboration between YouTubers Dad as Heck, Weegee Plays, Deezus, and Major Duncan that he was part of until 2018. He is now also part of a group channel called Wildcard, a collaboration between him, Jaiden Animations, Captain Kidd, Giwi, gsmVoiD, Fyrus, sunflowersmith and Weegee Plays
