Discord
Hi, it has been long noticed that you aren't in the wiki's discord server, with how active you are here I strongly recommend you join the discord. Even if you're not interested in socializing, you can just use it to discuss wiki matters and report vandals. Most wiki-related discussion happens there instead of in talk pages nowadays, and it's much more efficient to report vandals and the like there instead of to the admin noticeboard, as admins can be notified immediately instead of waiting around for them to happen upon the noticeboard. Omega Tyrant 18:04, August 23, 2022 (EDT)
- I'm not a fan of how discord is being used as a replacement for so many things, both on the wiki and the greater internet. If there was a discussion about an article or topic in the past, I can easily see that one happened on the wiki by the mere existence of a talk page but I can't reliably know that on discord. Needing to use a third-party program/website to see why a decision was made is not straight-forward or convenient for new users and especially not for readers who want to know the reason, source, or thought process for something on the wiki. As for reporting, a lot of vandals do no require immediate attention outside of the recent "goatse" vandal and "she who wishes to be named", in which case I can understand using discord. For the other, smaller vandals can easily wait for an admin to get off of work or wake up and I could complain about slow response times but I don't want to get too off-topic.
- That all said, I may join the discord eventually just to stay in the loop or to tell others "I'm going to go through and clean/revamp the trophy pages/templates--be there or be square". --CanvasK (talk) 07:53, August 24, 2022 (EDT)
- One should embrace new technology, and as is, discord just obsoletes the methods for communication wikis can natively supply in many cases; why wait days on end to discuss an edit on a wiki talk page instead of hammering it out in an hour or less on discord? Major discussions that absolutely require record keeping are still formally done on the wiki, but more minor stuff or just simple collaboration are handled much more smoothly through a real-time discussion format, like maintaining the "most historically significant players" sections would be much more cumbersome if done only through talk pages. And as for vandals not requiring swift action, any worth reporting most certainly does, which that kerfuffle on my talk page over that one IP certainly attests to. Omega Tyrant 22:22, August 24, 2022 (EDT)
- Pardon the pedantry but, "new technology" discord ain't. Prevalent, yes. New, no. Skype, Hamachi, AIM, IRC, etc. It is another chat client that, by being built on Chromium (same as Microsoft Edge and Chrome), is easily multi-platform and doesn't require a stand-alone application. Anyways, on to the stuff that matters.
- You don't need to sell me on how discord is useful, especially for "historically significant players" which would certainly spam Recent Changes, have tons of edit conflicts, and need to be archived almost immediately. It still doesn't alleviate the other issues of information being harder to obtain for curious readers, in which they may see "as discussed on discord" that I've seen several times that gives little information. Distinguishing between "major" or "minor" is easily ambiguous--if anything that doesn't have a formal discussion on the wiki is "minor", then that can include anything from changing a word to making Recent Changes unusable for several days to anyone who didn't filter the File namespace. And with all that said it won't matter for me at the end of the day, because I can say without a doubt that I'll be a hypocrite and do everything I said I dislike for the same reason why I'm responding on a several hundred watt text editor despite it being bad for the environment or why people continue to use endless-scroll apps despite them being bad for their mental health: I'm lazy, it's cheap, it's easy, it's there, I've done it for years, I'm doing it right now; doesn't mean I have to like it.
- A vandal making one edit a day is not as urgent as a vandal making 50 edits in 30 minutes. Yes, a vandal is a vandal is a vandal, but the former I can deal with and go back to what I was doing and readers would be none the wiser whereas the latter is more likely to get noticed by readers and I have to drop what I'm doing to conceal it. I find it funny that you mention that IP as that one was reported several times, over several days, and no admin (which most were online at some point in that timeframe) managed to "happen upon" the board that was designed for them to notice. Shall I also mention the repeat offender that took over a month for someone to "happen upon" a page that should be in every admin's watchlist so it, at the very least, appears in bold on Recent Changes? I won't use the discord as my first course of action towards someone I feel needs to be dealt with unless they or what they did needs to be removed to prevent readers from being exposed to it, in part because of what I mentioned earlier and to have an easily accessible log of what happened and by who but to also highlight a problem that needs to be fixed and not covered by a fancy tarp. --CanvasK (talk) 19:09, August 25, 2022 (EDT)

Peach (SSBU)/Final Smash timings
Thank you for fixing my errors on the Final Smash subpage. Toomai even told me where I could also find the hitbox ID's. By the way, about the frame data where could I find the actual information for the frame data and how can I apply it to the "Timing"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Derekblue1 (talk • contribs) 21:11, December 1, 2022 (EST)
- I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Everything I know about the hitboxes/frame data is from Ruben's site; mainly making educated guesses based on naming and comparing to pre-existing pages. If you want deeper technical info or how frame-speed multipliers affect timing, I'd see about asking Zeckemyro (who did all the hitbox animations) or Drakroar. --CanvasK (talk) 21:24, December 1, 2022 (EST)
Talk about copyright
In case you're interested, I've explained to you about my hobby about discussing the copyright and ownership relating to Chibi-Robo. https://www.ssbwiki.com/File_talk:SSBU_spirit_Chibi-Robo.png Also, Merry Christmas. Juju1995 (talk) 17:21, December 24, 2022 (EST)
- I saw it. I'm sure you're aware of the date and that people tend to have other things on their plate around this time. As for that page (since we're already here), I interpreted the initial post as a musing (which is not what talk pages are for). If you were wanting to ask what company category would best fit it (judging by your recent edits), then it wasn't clear and should've been more straight-forward. --CanvasK (talk) 17:33, December 24, 2022 (EST)
Thank you so much
Thank you so much for adding the double jump values for 64. It's highly appreciated. Unnamed anon (talk) 18:15, May 2, 2023 (EDT)
- No prob. Went ahead and added 64 to short hop too. I have other projects on my plate, so don't hold your breath on the other games' data. --CanvasK (talk) 18:52, May 2, 2023 (EDT)
Reminder
{{Reminder|Please do not revert my edits recklessly.}} You always revert my faithful edits. Template:Age is based on Wikipedia. Calculate the age of the people as voice actors and designer, 30s at the time is enough. Tempest Tales (talk) 06:5907:03, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
- That's not what the reminder template is for. I gave a proper edit summary, it is not reckless. The edits that I've reverted were changes to established format that had little use and should need community input. It doesn't matter if it is or is not based on Wikipedia's template. For one, it is an obvious template that would've come about regardless of Wikipedia. Second, Wikipedia doesn't list the dates you used. Third, the vast majority of stuff we report on (video games and their characters) have dates closer to or greater than 1989 than to 1969. --CanvasK (talk) 07:08, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
- I changed it to 2009 and reverted from Mariowiki. Please read this revision. At the time of 2003, there will be more voice actors born in 1969 than 1989. Tempest Tales (talk) 07:11, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
- Please read this revision; the one that reverted you, the one you quoted, the one saying that 1989 is closer to the most common use case. We don't report on voice actors. We report on games, characters, and smashers, most of which are closer to 1989. --CanvasK (talk) 07:18, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
- I changed it to 2009 and reverted from Mariowiki. Please read this revision. At the time of 2003, there will be more voice actors born in 1969 than 1989. Tempest Tales (talk) 07:11, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
Yeah. Older age meant their 30s. It can be inferred that there are more users born in 1999 than in 1989 on this wiki. Also, the voice actor of Mario, Charles Martinet was born in 1955, so his age template should be {{age|1955|9|17}}. Tempest Tales (talk) 07:25, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
- This is an improper usage of the reminder template, you cannot tell another user to not revert you. Stop this behavior, do not revert someone undoing your clearly wrong edits again, and listen to what other users tell you. This is your only warning. Omega Tyrant 07:27, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
- You are not reading what I'm writing. We report on games, characters, and smashers. We do not have an article for Charles Martinet or any other voice actors so your argument is useless. And don't bother bringing up Masahiro Sakurai's or any other dev's age because their numbers are eclipsed by the aforementioned games, characters, and smashers. --CanvasK (talk) 07:29, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
- I changed it to 1999, do you think this is enough? Tempest Tales (talk) 07:30, May 24, 2023 (EDT)
AB PR
Hi, smashwikinoob here. Saw your tag as the person who performed the most recent edits to the Alberta Power Ranking and was wondering if you might do the same again! twitter.com/calgarysmash for the current PR. Sorry if I'm doing this horribly wrong. Stlts (talk) 15:56, June 9, 2023 (EDT)
- Sure. Very minor, but in the future, new sections on talk pages go at the bottom of the page. There should be a button on the top bar saying "new section" that will do that for you. --CanvasK (talk) 16:02, June 9, 2023 (EDT)
Thank you!!
Thank you for finishing the EWA Ult PR list. That would have taken me ages! How did you do it so fast? Are you from EWA? User:Deldren 20:40, June 24, 2023 (PST)
- No, I'm not from EWA. PRs tend to have repeats, so I copy-paste them then shuffle the repeats into their new positions, transfer their old rank to the previous rank column before updating to their current rank. Copy-paste and make an empty row then copy-paste that for the ones not on the previous PR, then I just need to fill in the name and characters. Locating the PRs is more tedious and mostly relies on smashers wanting to show off their or their peer's rankings by retweeting the PR tweets. There are several shortcomings with that (such as Twitter not loading older tweets or unable to find a player with an account that retweeted), so if you happen to have sources for unlisted PRs or listed PRs without linked sources, it would be appreciated if you can link them (here or on the PR talk page if you don't have the time; doesn't have to be a tweet, as long as it is publicly accessible). If you happen to make another PR table in the future, try to link a PR announcement in some way. --CanvasK (talk) 06:39, June 25, 2023 (EDT)
How this page is edited
Words do not just magically appear on this page. They are typed by humans into computers or phones (or possibly entered via voice to text) then submitted and posted. This is true of every talk page on this and other wikis. 174.203.130.82 19:33, September 22, 2023 (EDT)
Apology and question
Hi. I'd like to ask you something: I'm sorry for my edits on the SSBU pages for Snake and Zero Suit Samus, but where can I actually put the colors of their alternate costumes? Is there a certain place for that besides the alternate costume page (which is locked and only established users with 90 days of activity and 100 edits can edit that page). ThePacifisticWarrior (talk) 12:40, October 26, 2023 (EDT)
- I don't see much use for it outside of the alternate costume pages. Having the text on the character pages just results in the icons no longer being under the respective costume, at least with the current way it is done. And most of the "names" are only useful on the wiki, with people in the wider community sometimes using different names. --CanvasK (talk) 17:13, October 26, 2023 (EDT)
Unnamed anon's fighter stats for Ultimate
A user named Unnamed anon has included stats for fighters in Ultimate. I was thinking of including the fighters' vertical gravity and falling speed for during hitstun when hit by a hitbox that launches at between 70°-110°, if it's alright with them. When launched at between said angles, during hitstun, a fighter's max falling speed is set to 1.8, but their gravity varies depending on their weight. Juju1995 (talk) 12:50, November 14, 2023 (EST)
- I don't know why you are telling me this. If you want to propose something for the template, then you should bring it up on the template's talk page. --CanvasK (talk) 16:03, November 19, 2023 (EST)
Grammar clarification
This will lead to trouble if we don't clear this up now. On the spirit board events and event tourney pages, the phrase "repeated twice" means it happened three times, which means "repeated three times" means it happened four times. I agree with the rest of your note, but I need to step in for this. The Other Jared (talk) 23:59, December 6, 2023 (EST)
- Ah, I see that now. Honestly I think we could remove the "repeated X times" thing since those events are the first ones and thus will always be the first to be repeated however many times. Trivia that is always subject to change/updating doesn't make for great trivia anyways. --CanvasK (talk) 00:03, December 7, 2023 (EST)
Mario (SSBB)
what is editorial writing? 76.220.46.149 20:09, December 9, 2023 (EST)
- For starters, the wiki has a policy about it and other things (SmashWiki:Manual of Style/Words to Watch#Editorialising). My rule of thumb is that editorial writing would be similar to what is used in a video, magazine, website, etc. to add extra punch to a piece, be funny, or relatable instead of a more strict/formal source like an encyclopedia. The edit in question would probably be better explained by the "Clichés and idioms" section (with some overlap with "Editorialising"). Ultimately it gives much more weight to the sentence than necessary. --CanvasK (talk) 20:20, December 9, 2023 (EST)
Stage builder gravity
I noticed you changed the values I got for the gravity of the blocks, and I think I can explain why mine were so far off. I was using the time in frames it took for a 2x3 block to reach the bottom of a large stage and despawn, and then plugging that value into the SUVAT equation S = ut + 0.5at², with S being whatever was needed for the fastest acceleration to be 1, but to remove the tilting effect of dropped blocks, I used a spring to stabilise them, stupidly not realising that that would make the lighter blocks fall much faster...somehow it never occurred to me that the blocks were falling too fast because of the spring. I realized it just now when I tried repeating the test. Alex the Weeb 12:44, December 10, 2023 (EST)
- I can see that. I think when I tested I just used 2x2 circles (or maybe large circles that I scaled down) to factor out any rotation. I had one of each material land on bouncy rubber initially to see if any were identical, and doing so allowed me to ignore duplicates and test less. I think when I tested I brute forced it, counting how many frames it takes for a circle to pass X units and then throwing values into a spreadsheet until they lined up. I found the 0.065 multiplier by using the reasoning that they were much smaller than the previous data-mined values and wouldn't make sense to change them that much in an update... and the brute forced that too. May have to use that formula next time to save some sanity. --CanvasK (talk) 13:37, December 10, 2023 (EST)

Question for future edits
I am not too experienced with wiki editing, but tried to fill out and improve the nuances of the Isabelle SSBU pages, mostly the main pages' intro, attributes, and the specific moves. Is there anything that particularly needs to be improved about them competitively/move usage wise that I have largely missed? There are a few details I have not really seen a very straightforward way to share. For example, it's somewhat the overall speed and large disjoints that higher tiers tend to possess that make her near unusable competitively. Also, I have not seen match ups mentioned much on the site. I will likely become busy in the future, so would like to leave the pages in as good of a state as I can. To clarify I am not talking about top players- just game play, strategy, strengths, etc. Thank you for any help. P.S. At what point does a section become complete enough that I remove the Competitive Expertise banner? FunkyGrip2000 (talk) 07:55, January 3, 2024 (EST)
- I'll address the last part first. Basically if the section talks about its usefulness and how it can possibly combo into other things, how it can be comboed into, effectiveness in KOs, etc. then it should be good. Looking at a random sample of your edits to the hitbox pages, they seem fine to remove the banner. If you want an exceptional example to look at, check some of King K. Rool's hitbox pages--you don't need to reach that level to remove the banner, but just to show what level of detail you can go into if you get the itch for it.
- At least for Ultimate, doing matchups would be tedious both because there's so many characters and because a lot of the cast are fairly balanced. As for the rest, that is a bit outside of my zone. I'd ask an editor who deals more with competitive stuff like Cookies and Creme. It would probably be easier if you ask on the wiki's discord server so replies are faster and you can get more users's input. --CanvasK (talk) 08:23, January 3, 2024 (EST)

More info on Mites
Hey, I did some more testing of Mites in SSE, and it appear that red Mites also take more damage from indirect attacks than the other Mites do, which might have been why I mistakenly thought yellow Mites resist electricity (they don't). Other than that, it seems like there aren't any other resistances or weaknesses for any of the other Mites. If you used Mario's fireball for testing the fire resistance of red Mites, your data might be wrong since they don't use the same indirect resistance as the other Mites do. Alex the Weeb 15:39, March 27, 2024 (EDT)
- Weird. I'll do some testing and try to get some hard numbers for that. --CanvasK (talk) 15:44, March 27, 2024 (EDT)
- Managed to find where the 0.02x value was and was then able to find other multipliers. Normal 1, Slash 1, Electric 1, Ice 2, Flame 0.02, Grass 1, Water 2.3, Darkness 1, Aura 1, Direct 1, Indirect 1.
- Tests (Red)
- Raptor Boost (7%, flame, direct) = 0.14 (0.02x)
- Max Charge Shot (25%, not flame, indirect) = 25 (1.0x)
- Egg Throw (1+8=9%, not flame, indirect) = 9 (1.0x)
- Squirtle DSmash (11%) = 25.3 (2.3x)
- Ice Shot (3%) = 6 (2.0x)

Sora’s air jump height
I think Sora air jump may be higher than what the parameters suggest. If Sora really did have an air jump height of 40 he would have the same overall jump height as Sonic(70). But on the custom stage I tested Sora’s combined jump height on he was able to make it up 8 platforms by jumping then air jumping. Sonic was only able to make it up 7 doing the same. Therefore, I believe Sora’s air jump height may be 50 rather than 40, as Sora barely made it up 3 platforms by only using his first jump. I can provide you the stage I tested this on if you want to test this yourself. 73.198.50.81 12:30, May 5, 2024 (EDT)
Not knowing how to change the balance patch thingies
But whose talk page should I report this kind of stuff on? Yo'ster (talk) 21:29, May 29, 2024 (EDT)
- If you want to edit the update templates, you edit them like a normal article. They're a little different, but you just need to find the character in the list (should be alphabetical) and make the change in there. There is an input box below the standard buttons where you can input the character's article and "show preview" there. You can report any issue with an article on that article's talk page. You can also bring it up on the discord server. --CanvasK (talk) 21:35, May 29, 2024 (EDT)
Sephiroth OHKO on Jigglypuff
I saw you undid the edit adding the Sephiroth shield break against Jigglypuff that OHKOs, on the basis of it requiring other moves to be listed that also break shields. I kinda disagree though. Sephiroth's final smash is a special case, and not simply an attack breaking an opponent's shield. You hit the opponent, not their shield, with the move, and it forces them into their shield jump. I think it probably could be included, as most people would probably consider it an OHKO, and it doesn't really fit in with shield breaks in general. Alex the Weeb 20:54, May 30, 2024 (EDT)
- While it is exceptional, I don't think it belongs on the OHKO list. Just about all (or just all) of the things on the list will OHKO any character while Supernova only works on Jigglypuff. Similar to how Roy's Blazer isn't counted as it only works on a couple characters. --CanvasK (talk) 21:36, May 30, 2024 (EDT)
Regarding this Banjo edit
"Since it is fictional, no wiki link"
I would like to remind you that every character page whose species is listed as a real-life animal (that I could find, anyway) does not have a link to that animal's Wikipedia page (Fox McCloud's infobox doesn't link to the Wikipedia page for the fox; Sonic's doesn't link to the hedgehog's; Isabelle doesn't link to dog or shih tzu; Duck Hunt doesn't link to dog or duck; neither Tom Nook nor the Nooklings link to tanuki; you get the idea), so Banjo was really the odd one out regardless.
Since this is not an encyclopedia on literally anything, I don't see much of a point in providing Wikipedia links to real-life animals (at least in regards to Infobox Character General), so I would've just removed the link to brown bear anyway. The Jacketed Terrapin 08:08, June 15, 2024 (EDT)
- That's reasonable. I didn't check if linking there was a thing or not, so just went with that reasoning. Looking through the edits for Banjo, there was an IP that tended to add "supplemental links" to a lot of things even if it wasn't necessary like in this instance (they're also the one who changed it from "Honey bear" to "Brown bear", so this whole thing was their doing). --CanvasK (talk) 08:15, June 15, 2024 (EDT)
Robot Masters
→ moved from User_talk:98.50.154.28#I have a question for CanvasK
I have a question for CanvasK. Mega Man, Proto Man, Bass and Elec Man are robots, Although it looks like a human, the official Species are Robots, not Androids. (This also applies to X and Zero.) Furthermore, in their ranks, they are called Robot Masters. CanvasK, do you understand what I mean? I'm not saying that some people don't understand what I'm saying, but I'm sorry that the editing wasn't very good. Am I not a liar? I had bad luck with logging out IP users. There are many different types of robots, so it seems likely that robots that look like humans will be called androids. I'll say it again, do you know what it means that Mega Man has a human form? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.89.11.180 (talk • contribs) 19:31, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
- Species = Robot, that is all. Robot Master is a rank, not a species. Android is a form of robot, not a species. X and Zero are Reploids, which are different enough from robots to be mentioned as such.
- The purpose of including a reference or hidden comment is to have a source of the information, to tell editors to not modify if the information, or to clear up confusion if it is a common mistake. It is not a common mistake if the only person is you, and therefore a reference or hidden comment is not needed. Unless you have an official source saying they are something other than a robot, please refrain from changing the species. The same goes for gender. --CanvasK (talk) 19:54, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
Yes, I understand. Indeed, the T-800 from Terminator was also a robot, right? Species are robots, even if they look like humans, such as Mega Man. I learned a lot. Also, it's not like Enderman isn't male, but Minecraft either doesn't have a gender setting or has a habit of changing Genderless to a different gender, which I'm sorry about. Of course, I understand that Zombie, Creeper and Pig are not genderless either, but it was a bad change. By the way, Shulk is a Homs, but I don't think it would be a good idea to change humans. They are not non-human, but each person's race is different. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.89.11.180 (talk • contribs) 09:34, July 3, 2024 (EDT)

And don't expect them all in quick succession; I'll be taking time to vet if the render is noteworthy (like how I replaced SM ZSS with Fusion since SM and ZM are similar), running them through a filesize optimizer (to ease the load on the wiki's server), and cropping out needless blank-space (e.g. Ivysaur's renders are 1920x1080 while it takes up less than 1/3rd of the horizontal space). --CanvasK (talk) 12:36, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- Ok then, I'll keep waiting until then. 68.4.80.137 12:47, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- It's been 20 hours, and the remanining renders have not been uploaded yet, somehow. 68.4.80.137 16:38, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- It's been 18 hours; 20 would be 18:30 EDT, it is 16:40 EDT. And again, "20 hours at the earliest". That means I could do it at 20 hours on the dot or 21 hours, or 36, or 50, or 100+. It'll be done when it is done. Some of the P+ articles have gone 4 months with missing images, a couple more days won't hurt. Do not pester me (or any other user) about the renders any further. --CanvasK (talk) 16:52, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- Oh. 68.4.80.137 16:53, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- I know it's sudden, but both Pikachu's new P+ and Team Rocket renders have a much wider blank space compared to the original P+ render for the former. Just thought I point it out. 68.4.80.137 19:09, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- Oh, I just remembered, you should also update normal Yoshi's P+ render as well, since all of the costumes now have higher quality eyes on their models. And what about the Modder's Pack costumes, will there be separate P+ palatte images to showcase them? 68.4.80.137 20:03, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- Why is there blank space on the top of Yoshi's just updated P+ render? 68.4.80.137 20:13, July 3, 2024 (EDT)

- Good morning! Have either you or Layell uploaded the remaining P+ 3.0 renders yet? Or are you just waking up? 68.4.80.137 11:30, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- I'll check back in tomorrow to see if the remaining renders have been uploaded. Good night. 68.4.80.137 01:57, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- Ok, got it. 68.4.80.137 22:40, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
(Reset indent)
- I will not be dealing with the costume collections for 2 reasons: 1, the Modders Pack doesn't have everyone's renders for every costume (R.O.B. for example only has his Wii costumes, not Virtual Boy or even default); 2, Layell has already uploaded some with the special alts. He is on the art team, so he would be the best to take care of that. But try not to send him a dozen messages looking for updates.
- I left blank space in Yoshi's render so that when you flip through the tabbers the images don't appear to jump around. In the other special alts, that space is taken up by Dories' hat and Gonzales' hair. --CanvasK (talk) 20:18, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- Layell's user talk page doesn't exist (at the moment), so I can't message him about the missing costumes right now. But I didn't know you left blank space on Yoshi's render for a specific reason. 68.4.80.137 20:23, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- It does exist, it is just marked for deletion since there was nothing on there. You can replace the speedy delete tag with a proper message. And even if it didn't exist, I think non-account users can still create talk pages. --CanvasK (talk) 20:25, July 3, 2024 (EDT)
- Really?! Thanks! 68.4.80.137 20:30, July 3, 2024 (EDT)

Project M/Project+ Stage images and pages
Hey, CanvasK. It's been a while, but can Project M and Project+ stage pages be made, seeing as there were characters pages for PM? 68.4.80.137 21:59, July 14, 2024 (EDT)
- No. Modded content requires discussion and consensus to be allowed further coverage as well as discussion on the scope of that coverage. Project M had that discussion years ago (see Forum:The Project M debate) and the conclusion was to cover the mod in general, characters, players, and tournaments with stuff like stages being ruled as not having enough substance to cover. Project+ also had a discussion for coverage (see Forum:P+ content) and got the same scope as PM, with stages getting no mention outside of people restating the official blurb by the devs. --CanvasK (talk) 06:49, July 15, 2024 (EDT)
Help Me
What Mewtwo did to Genderless today was bad. It was true, but Unknown is probably the correct answer. Also, although Terry is male, I know that there are female versions in some works, and Sora is normally a human, but in other works he is a non-human animal, such as a mermaid, a lion, or a robot. There is also. Is it true that there is no need to edit it? It was written that Sheik is a woman but looks like a man, so I understand that Saki Amamiya is a man, but I wonder if she has a habit of being seen as a woman. Lucina calls herself Marth... I remembered that Marth and Lucina are different genders among echo fighters.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.89.4.3 (talk • contribs) 07:13, July 29, 2024 (EDT)
- Listing temporary transformations or disguises for everyone would be tedious and 99% of the time it isn't relevant to any part of them in Smash. Sheik's disguise is to separate her from Zelda as much as possible so that she isn't found out, and appearing as a man does that and is thus core to her. Saki (to my knowledge) doesn't disguise himself and people seeing him as a woman is not canonical, only done by players and thus isn't relevant. With Lucina, she doesn't present herself as Marth in Smash so it isn't too important to note. --CanvasK (talk) 07:37, July 29, 2024 (EDT)
- Hello, someone who actually has played the first Sin & Punishment here. Saki has never so much as pretended to be a woman nor have any characters in the game mistaken him for such; the only time confusion over Saki's gender was ever officially acknowledged (as far as I know) was in his Smash 4 trophy, and even then, trophy descriptions in Smash 4 tend to be very tongue-in-cheek, so I don't think we should really add a "(mistaken for a woman)" tag in his infobox just because of that. - Isn't it true that Marth and Lucina are the only characters of different genders in Clone Fighter? We know that Samus is female on the inside, but Dark Samus is officially treated as a woman, but her insides are different from Samus, so she's not counted as a woman, but even Dark Samus would probably be female. Jigglypuff is a cute pokémon, but it's not related since it has both genders (Varies), and it's not related to Clone Fighter at all. (It seems to be similar to Kirby, but it's not a real Clone Fighter.) Jigglypuff is called She in Melee and is treated as a woman, but she is not considered a woman in other works. , I also wear women's accessories, but they have nothing to do with it. Luigi is the only Clone Fighter in the first generation. In addition, the only fighters in Clone Fighter that appear in different characters are Captain Falcon and Ganondorf in Melee.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.89.4.3 (talk • contribs) 21:24, July 29, 2024 (EDT)
