The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

King Con is an ongoing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate major held in Paris, France, from February 24th-25th, 2024
Tournament summary
The tournament is Europe's first major event of the season and featured several notable international players, including Sparg0, MkLeo, and MKBigBoss. This is also notably the first international event for Marss and ChunkyKong. In addition, the winners of Valhalla IV and GENESIS X were invited to the event, with the winner of the latter event getting the first seed. Zomba won both events, however he declined both invitations, and as such the invitation was passed on to the next available player who was not already registered, that being Lancelot for the former and Neo for the latter. Finally, this event was notably missing Glutonny, who decided to take a break from events after traveling for the last few weeks to Japan and GENESIS X.
Several international invaders were upset on the first day, including two top 8 seeds: seed #32 seed Neeroz upset Neo 3-2 (upset factor 9) while #29 seed KID upset #4 seed Marss 3-2 (upset factor 6). In addition, #8 seed Skyjay lost to #40 seed Ente 0-3 and #33 seed Longo 1-3 (both upset factor 5) for 33rd and #10 seed BassMage lost to #138 seed Elfo 1-3 (upset factor 8) and #31 seed MazeBeans 2-3 for 33rd as well. Outside of the international players, #11 seed Tarik was also upset by #86 seed Poww 2-3 (upset factor 6).
The match between Artsnif and Lancelot was cut off during game 4 due to the venue closing, leaving said match as the only unfinished match before top 32 the following day.[1]
