The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Skarmory (disambiguation)
Skarmory (エアームド, Eāmudo, Airmd in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.
Creature Description
Skarmory is an almost human-sized bird with a grey metal body and red wing plumes. The following information comes out of Pokédex entries throughout the RPGs: It is entirely encased in hard, protective armor, and although its wings look heavy, but they and the bones underneath are hollow and light, which allows it to fly freely in the sky at speeds of over 180 mph. The wings, which it uses to slash foes with sword-like cutting edges, become tattered and bashed in from its repeated battles, and once a year the battered wings grow back completely, restoring the cutting edges to their pristine state. The feathers that it sheds are very sharp, and people in the past actually used fallen Skarmory feathers to make swords and knives. It nests in bramble bushes so that its chicks grow hard from scratches made by the thorns.
In the Pokémon RPGs, it is one of the most effective Pokemon in terms of physical defense.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
As a stage element
Skarmory is a Pokémon that appears in the background of the Pokémon Stadium 2 stage on the Flying Type form of the stage. It is unclear if its presence is purely cosmetic or if it affects gameplay during matches.
As a trophy
Skarmory also appears as a collectible trophy in Brawl.
- Skarmory:
- An Armor Bird Pokemon with a steel-hard body and wings. It flies at speeds up to 186 miles per hour and slices enemies with sharp steel wings that grow dull over time. It grows new wings once a year, which regain their original sharpness. It's said that people used to use faklen wings for swords and knives. It can fly so quickly and freely because it has light, hollow bones.
