Yoshi (ヨッシー, Yosshī) is a confirmed character for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He appears relatively unchanged, except for one thing--he can now use his Egg Toss as a recovery move (though it only gives him a very small boost). His smashes appear less powerful, but his aerials and tilts are slightly more powerful. He has also taken on his upright posture and decidedly more cartoon-like appearance from more recent titles. He appears to be slightly larger now in relation to the human-sized characters as well. His Final Smash pays homage to his special abilities (depending one what color Koopa Shell he swallows) in Super Mario World.
Changes from Melee to Brawl
- Egg Toss can be used as a recovery move, though provides a very slight boost
- New Forward Tilt
- Aerials and tilts are slightly stronger

- Yoshi Bomb is weaker in terms of knockback.
- Grab is sightly faster

Role In the Subspace Emissary
Yoshi appear in a screenshot in the Subspace Emissary with Link. After retriving the master sword from a pedastal in a forest, Link encounters Yoshi, who is sleeping on a tree stump. The two team up seconds afterwards to battle the subspace emmisary right after Yoshi wakes up. In a recent Video it shows Yoshi & Link fighting in an Ice Cave. Link and Yoshi eventually team up with Mario, Pit and Kirby. [[1]]
