Controversy

On March 22nd, 2019, tamim posted a series of tweets in which he criticized Smash's competitive scene and players, most notably singling out Ally for engaging in a sexual relationship with a minor, and StaticManny for sexual predatory behavior, providing screenshots as proof. This caused some controversy, with various smashers such as Alpharad leaving the competitive scene in response to the event, along with similar outbursts from the community's players. While a few reports were eventually revealed to be fabricated, on April 21st, 2019, RiotLettuce had confirmed after an investigation that most of the reports pertaining to StaticManny were indeed accurate, with the CFL panel deciding to issue a tournament ban on Manny from any CFL events until CEO 2019.[1] Following the tournament, Ally would also confirm that the allegations pertaining to him were true, prompting him to permanently retire from the competitive Smash scene.

On September 14th, 2020, tamim released a TwitLonger explaining that CaptainZack's TwitLonger on Nairo was full of manipulations and lies. In the TwitLonger, he also included a section on Samsora, accusing him of knowing about Zack's relationships with Ally and Nairo but doing nothing about it. tamim then stated that he believed Samsora disliked being in Nairo's shadow but nonetheless used Nairo to gain more attention, and when Nairo became useless to him he decided to get rid of him; as a result, he collaborated with Zack on his TwitLonger in order to "reap the benefits of Nairo’s downfall"[2]. The next day, Samsora would deny the accusations.

Two days later, tamim would release a final TwitLonger, this time with CaptainZack. In it, CaptainZack confirmed some of tamim's accusations against him while tamim stood by his accusation of Samsora[3].

In a Twitlonger released by an unknown Twitter account, it is alleged that tamim was directly responsible for bringing MattyG, who was nearly 20 years old at the time and and an underaged CaptainZack together in 2017.[4]

Trivia

  • Along with CaptainZack and Lima, tamim has a negative reputation for being one of the "villains" in the Smash community due to maining Bayonetta as well as being considered "disrespectful" when he plays the game. This has led to some disrespecting and harassing him, such as being booed when he plays, this has resulted in drama in the community.
