Trivia

  • Piranha Plant is the only character with an alternate costume that changes its model (being the even-numbered costumes using a pipe instead of a pot) to not appear in this tournament.
  • Excluding Ice Climbers (who are a two-in-one fighter), Pyra and Mythra (who are transforming characters), and Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard (whose Pokémon Trainer does change their model), Young Link and Toon Link are the only characters in this event that do not have an alternative costume/form that changes their model.
  • Meta Knight, Sonic, and Pac-Man have the least amount of model changes out of all of the characters in this tournament; only two of Meta Knight's costumes change his mask along with the sword, Sonic's costumes simply give him bracelets, and Pac-Man's costumes simply give him arm sleeves and wings on his shoes.
