Trivia

Mythra's spirit costume as shown in Xenoblade Chronicles 2
  • Not counting the temporary team members from Xenoblade Chronicles (Dickson and Alvis), Xenoblade Chronicles X is the only one of the three not to feature all party members as spirits.
  • The artwork for Mythra's spirit is slightly altered from its original appearance, adding clothing to cover up her cleavage and legs; this was likely done to avoid raising the game's age rating, as Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has a higher age rating than Ultimate in most regions. Prior to Ultimate's release, this edited design was added into Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as an optional costume for Mythra, which is still obtainable even after the release of Ultimate. The edited spirit artwork with her optional costume was later used as a basis for her design as a fighter.
    • Pyra's spirit, on the other hand, was left uncensored, but Pyra herself was eventually given tights like Mythra in order to cover up her legs.
  • None of the spirits originating from Xenoblade Chronicles X make an appearance in World of Light.
  • Prior to the addition of the River City spirits, Riki did not contain the series title in his name. He was updated to be differentiated from the character of the same name from the River City series.
  • Rex is the first spirit to gain the ability to be enhanced through an update.
    • Due to this, the Rex (Master Driver) spirit is the only enhanced spirit that is not listed directly after its regular form.
      • However, prior to the 1.1.0 update, King Boo was listed between Poltergust 5000 and Polterpup rather than being listed directly right after Boo.
  • During Sakurai's presentation on Pyra and Mythra, the spirits of Pneuma and Rex (Master Driver) are pixelated out to avoid spoiling the end of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, as both characters appeared in it.
    • The former's (Pneuma) spirit artwork is original to Ultimate because she didn't have an official artwork in Xenoblade Chronicles 2; however, unlike similar spirits with Ultimate-exclusive art, Pneuma's artwork was done by Masatsugu Saito, the lead designer for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, rather than using a model from Ultimate.
  • The Xenoblade series is the second series after Pokémon to introduce a Legend class Primary spirit as part of the DLC; in this case, Rex (Master Driver) and Malos were added.
    • In addition, this is the first to have a Legend class Primary spirits on a DLC Spirit Board.
    • Therefore, it is the first DLC spirit board with multiple Legend class spirits.
  • Poppi α is the third spirit to gain a spirit battle on a DLC spirit board after previously being summon-exclusive, the first two being Ninjara and Ribbon Girl.
