Methodology

Some new changes were implemented mid-season. As a result of several tournaments becoming region-locked, a new multiplier was implemented to the system specifically for those tournaments, with a x0.85 for American tournaments and x1.25 for international tournaments.

Beginning in the v5 season, the WWR introduced the Players of the Month, a monthly award to the top performers in online competition as voted by the WWR's X-factor panelists. Each month, three players are voted the #1, #2, and #3 players of the month, and an additional award is given to the Breakout Player, who is judged to have most improved or exceeded expectations.
