Shoyo James, or simply James, is an SSB4 Diddy Kong and Luigi co-main from Howell, New Jersey, who is one of the main tournament directors for the New Jersey scene. He is currently ranked 1st on the New Jersey Smash 4 Power Rankings and ranked 42nd on the Panda Global Rankings v4. He has taken sets off of top players such as Tweek, Elegant, Ally, CaptainZack, MVD, Darkshad, Mr.E, Zinoto, dyr, and 6WX. James is currently semi-retired due to medical conditions; in an interview with ZeRo at Smash N' Splash 4, James revealed that he suffers from tendinitis and thus doesn't enter many tournaments.
He is currently affiliated with the DMG crew, and was formerly in OcS (Ocean County Smash).
