  14. In Gen 4, he was known as the King of Ubers, being the best pokemon in the game. In Brawl under normal situations, he's the only pokemon who can pretty much guarantee a KO without your involvement, and the only one who can KO the same opponent twice. The best pokemon in the RPGs, and the best pokemon in Brawl, while Groudon is by far the worst legendary in Brawl outside the gift givers and Manaphy. Omega Tyrant   02:44, 29 April 2012 (EDT)

  19. Water > Ground; LOL (and I started the game series with Pokémon Sapphire Version, so yeah). While I lament that the move Hydro Pump has been switched over to a not-often-seen legendary Pokémon rather than a more common Blastoise-family member, Kyogre is much more effective than its volcanic counterpart, Groudon (and I'm glad both of them finally transitioned to the Smash Bros. series). Kyogre damages foes on contact (which is Groudon's sole function in Brawl) and bothers to actually move around the stage, in addition to blasting opponents off the stage with water. Groudon, however, just...sits there using "Overheat", with his true effectiveness mainly being restricted to small stages. And in the actual Pokémon handheld game series, Kyogre freaking decimates much of the opposition compared to Groudon. In any case, both of these Pokémon are awesome (with an excellent ominous battle theme in the Pokémon games and the Pokémon anime, to boot), but Kyogre gains a major edge. 72.3.33.15 14:10, 2 May 2012 (EDT)

Agreed; a three-way match would have been much better, in my opinion. It seems wrong to exclude Rayquaza from the match, as a relationship has been established among Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza (most evident in the legends/stories of Pokémon Emerald Version). Land·Sea·Sky, anyone? Personally, I would have liked to see how Rayquaza fares against Kyogre, as I'm surprised that Kyogre is dominating with votes in this poll against Groudon. 72.3.33.15 14:10, 2 May 2012 (EDT)

Hmm, a few people seem to think Kyogre uses Sheer Cold for its attack, and some think Groudon is a fire-type. I sense some of you may have thought that Kyogre uses Sheer Cold because of its trophy description, but it uses Hydro Pump. Groudon, I can understand, but it is in fact a pure ground type.   18. Although I like the Lip's Stick's punny name and its prolonged effect during opponent-battering, Fire Flower FTW - mainly due to TEH F1R3Z and its usage has more "oomph" to it. I like the Fire Flower's design a bit more (especially in SSB Brawl), and the flames that it spews/secretes are amazing against foes that are backed into a corner/against a wall. Also, whenever you or your teammate is Ness or Lucas during matches, the Fire Flower does wonders when PSI Magnet is used to absorb the flames. Lip's Stick, however, has a very good throw attack, with good range, effect, and still plants the flower. And Fire Flower's general attack use is not something I'm a fan of.   13. Marth's moveset seems to hold more appeal than Lucas's and, as of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, also manages to be unique. I also like his taunts and general personality (or at least what we can discern of him from his appearances in the SSB series). Unleashing Dancing Blade skillfully on opponents is also fun to perform, as well as landing sweetspotted offensives correctly. Additionally, Marth comes with a sword, which practically seals the deal right there. I'll go with Snake's Smash Taunt as there's a greater number of them and they tend to provide more insight on certain characters. They change for each character you fight on Shadow Moses Island, whereas Star Fox just for each Star Fox character you fight AS.
