Gray Fox is a character whose appeared since the original Metal Gear until his death in Metal Gear Solid.

Outside of Super Smash Bros. Description

He was a war buddy of Solid Snake until he revealed his true position in Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake as one of Big Boss's men. He was killed later in the game, but he was revived in a genetic DNA test prior to Metal Gear Solid as the Cyborg Ninja. Near the end of Metal Gear Solid, Gray Fox sacrifices his life for Snake and is crushed to death by Metal Gear REX which was being operated by Liquid Snake.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

As an Assist Trophy

Gray Fox makes an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as an unlockable Assist Trophy in his Cyborg Ninja form. He is unlocked as soon as the player unlocks Solid Snake. Upon summoning, he calls out "Help me feel alive again" (referencing his death in Metal Gear Solid.) His attack involves moving quickly around the stage and swinging his sword, with his swings capable of reflecting projectile attacks. A Sticker of him can also be collected.

Trophy Description

An enigmatic soldier with great physical and combat skills. Calling himself "Deepthroat" and equipped with an enhanced environmental camouflage suit, he dedicated his life to fighting Snake. In a twist of fate, Gray Fox ends up protecting his sworn rival from Metal Gear REX. Long ago, Gray Fox fought Snake in Zanzibarland.
