Gackt (がくと ) is a Japanese smasher who mains Ness in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate . He is considered to be the best Ness player in the world, having taken sets from players such as MkLeo , Sonix , Glutonny , Riddles , Shuton , Tea , Zomba , and ProtoBanham . Gackt is currently ranked 27th on the LumiRank 2023 ; he was also ranked 7th on the old Experimental Smash Player Rankings . He has been active in Smash since 2005.[1]
Gackt was also among the best Ness players in the world in SSB4 . He has taken sets over players such as komorikiri , Abadango , ANTi , Mistake , Tsu , Kameme , Nietono , and Locus .
Playstyle
Gackt relies on both PK Thunder and PK Fire to create mindgames and devastating ledgetraps, allowing him to apply constant pressure and close out stocks quickly. He often uses aggressive aerials alongside PSI Magnet and down tilt to get in and break his opponent's defense. His breakout tournament was at The Big House 7 where he earned 17th place and defeated top players tamim, Locus, and ANTi. Since then, Gackt has done very well at various tournaments both in Japan and internationally.

Trivia
Gackt has an alter-ego called Meister G (マイスターG), a top-level Ness player created and portrayed by himself. He wears sunglasses and a jacket with no shirts whenever he shows up in his livestream.
Meister G claims that Gackt is his younger brother. He gets angry when someone talks as if they are the same person.
His unique way of talking and sarcastic attitude has gained him a lot of fans, to the point that he is now one of the most popular Smash livestreamers in Japan.
