In January 2024 Mekk was banned globally for the hate speech, bigotry & harassment that he spread on social media while smurfing as IronSpartan[1]. He reacted by admitting that he is indeed IronSpartan (though also claiming that multiple people use the persona and that the profile is "definitely a meme account on Twitter"), not apologizing and leaving "the mainstream community to go work on an alternate space for smash" [2].
Mekk is known for his physical tenacity and satirical inability to stop. He will frequently exclaim "I ain't stoppin" on his stream, owns a real stop sign crossed over with an X, and does push-ups after losing a set in tournament.
In December 2022, Mekk committed to maining Ganondorf for an entire year to boost the character's tournament representation/results.[3]
