Timing

Properties

  • The move has a hitbox set to both appear and be deleted on frame 14. As a result, the hit is only partially registered on the thrown opponent, causing hitlag but not any damage or graphical effects. Additionally, the throw inflicts hitlag to the opponent, causing their knockback to start on frame 30 under normal circumstances.
  • If used at an edge, the opponent is pushed 3 units up and away when thrown, preventing certain characters from getting stage spiked underneath.

Trivia

  • Alongside Pyra and Mythra's down throws, this is the only throw in Ultimate that can inflict hitlag on opponents with its release portion. It is even more effective than both throws in this regard, due to using a hitlag multiplier of 1× instead of 0.5×.
