DruggedFox is a Falco main from Georgia, formerly maining Sheik. For his secondaries, he has a strong Marth, Captain Falcon, and Fox. On August 5th, 2015 he was picked up as a Melee player by Trail Gaming League. DruggedFox is currently ranked 1st on the Georgia Melee Power Rankings and 18th on the 2015 SSBMRank.

Playing style

DruggedFox is a very punish- and reaction-based player, focusing on optimizing his characters' punish games by almost always going for guaranteed strings or options where the risk/reward is skewed in his favor. As Sheik, he is infamous for his reaction tech chase punishes on Fox and Falco which exceed those of even renowned Sheik players such as Mew2King or KirbyKaze. He also uses Sheik's down aerial more frequently than most other players, and focuses on needle zoning and platform movement in the neutral game. As Marth, he is very proficient at chaingrabbing, especially on Final Destination, and plays evasively in the neutral game with heavy wavedash down tilt usage until he can find an opportunity to grab the opponent.

DruggedFox's weaknesses stem from his greater inconsistency in tournament compared to most others of his caliber due to his tournament nerves, which have led to a sizable variance in his placements even in short spans of time. Additionally, while he can combo and lock down opponents very efficiently after creating an opening, he sometimes struggles to finish stocks if the opponent survives his initial punish. This is more prevalent in his Marth play, as his edgeguarding is lackluster compared to his Sheik, allowing opponents to survive up to extremely high percentages where other Marth players would have secured the stock. An example of this can be seen in his HTC Throwdown set against Silent Wolf in Losers' Semis, where he brought Silent Wolf down to his last stock at 165% but failed to finish him off, allowing him to stage a 2-stock comeback that ended DruggedFox's tournament.

Breakout at EVO 2015

Outside of his area, he is mostly known for his placing at EVO 2015 where he unexpectedly made top 32 winners side, beating Lucky 2-1 in R2 pools. He then lost to Leffen 1-2, before making an impressive loser's run, winning 2-1 vs. S2J, 2-0 vs Duck, and finally losing to Mango 0-2 (with both games going to last stock), placing 9th at the largest Melee event in history. He played Sheik throughout the tournament, as well as using Marth vs. Leffen.
