...is this template really needed? Miles (talk) 15:08, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
- It will probably be pretty niche, but I can see a use for it in pages linking to more detailed info. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 15:09, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
- I guess I'm not seeing the value of it in terms of code reduction, especially given that the "(see here)" setup isn't really very widely-used. Miles (talk) 15:11, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
- I made it because I am finding myself using that setup a lot in the Melee debug articles. It's fine if this is not wanted. I've only used it 3 times (and all in the same article). Serpent King (talk) 18:19, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
- Doesn't the main article template already accomplish the goal you're trying to achieve with this one? Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 18:32, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
- Kind of, but with that, you are confined to linking only to articles, not sections, and especially not sections within the article the template is used for. You can link to those things, sure, but it would make no sense. Serpent King (talk) 18:41, 4 May 2015 (EDT)

(Reset indent) That's what a # is for. Like, as opposed to putting just Sonic, you would put Sonic#Trivia. Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 18:46, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
- Right, I got that, but as the template says "Main Article" it doesn't really make sense to link to a section. Serpent King (talk) 19:58, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
