I just have a question but what did I do wrong, just making a tier list, I mean is there a specific rule that I can't make things on here to help people? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.148.6.159 (talkcontribs) 21:52, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
This is what you did wrong: You made an article based only on your opinion. As a wiki, this place is based on facts and community consensus. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png The Table Designer 22:06, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Oh ok, sorry for the rude talk. Do you know where I can make my own tier list? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.148.6.159 (talkcontribs) 23:33, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Try a blog on a site like AllisBrawl, though I warn you most people view making one's own tier list as a rather noobish thing to do. (I don't agree completely, but you've been warned.) Miles (talk) 23:33, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, ok, thanks :) And if ur curious of the SS recovery video, it's called SilentSpectre Impossible Recovery again.. and you can find it on YouTube

You mean this? -Anthony1996 (talk) 01:02, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

YES!

Here's the link

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=257229 Here's the link to the most recent official melee rules. As you can see Poke Floats, Mute City, and Jungle Japes are no longer on it. I hope this can help improve smash wiki a bit more :) Also I think recently that some Brawl stages have been banned too. http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=230481 That's the official brawl rules

How do I disable the Rich Text Editor?

I used to be on here, but I left due to reasons shared by other users. I came here to find out how to disable the Rich Text Editor, as Wikia claimed the problem where it created & nbsp ; was fixed, when in actuality it was not. SmashWiki had disabled it, and so I want to ask you if you know how. --{{subst:User:RoyboyX/Sig}} 01:53, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know. I would recommend checking in with this good sir. Miles (talk) 02:48, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
Miles please help. BNK [E|T|C] 02:52, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

umm dude, how come you always edit my stuff alot? if im doing something wrong, just tell me OK? Zelda101 02:30, April 6, 2010 (UTC)zelda101Zelda101 02:30, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Well, for starters, the color names for the palette swap articles are pretty objectively decided already. Other than that, I would recommend asking specific questions on articles' talk pages if you're finding an edit you deemed constructive reverted. Miles (talk) 20:52, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
oh sorry. im new to smashwiki soo.. not to sure how things work out to well.. Zelda101 21:52, April 6, 2010 (UTC)zelda101Zelda101 21:52, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Just popping in

And I wanted to say hello. BALτʀο [ talk ] 04:57, April 8, 2010 (UTC)

Oh you. Come on back plz? Miles (talk) 00:20, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
To be quite honest, I might like to. I'm kind of tired of my current wiki. BALτʀο [ talk ] 22:36, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
Let me rephrase. I'd like to, and I might; not might like to. BALτʀο [ talk ] 22:37, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
Well we'd appreciate you coming back if'n you can. Miles (talk) 23:15, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

How do you add pics

I'm just wondering how do you add pics on smash wiki? Doc King (I don't have an account).

Help:Images and SmashWiki:Images should answer all of your questions on the topic. Miles (talk) 23:40, April 9, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! Doc King

Oh, finally...

Wikia stopped crashing my internet everytime I visited. So, anything new happen while I was gone?L33t Silvie I see wat u did thar... 23:41, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

The logo proposition failed and SSF was deleted (Smashtasm is next). Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png eXemplary Logic 23:44, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
First, the logo I wanted was cool and didn't get the credit it deserved. :/ SSF being deleted was fine. Smashtasm I might fight to keep. Miles (talk) 00:15, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

Tier list questions

Am I allowed to make a tier list on here with a group of people or do I have to join the smash back room to make a tier list on here? Doc King

No, you cannot just make a tier list. The SBR releases a tier list. First, you won't be able to join the SBR and second, they do not have each member release a single list. Also, I think we have been very clear about you signing your posts correctly. You still aren't doing it. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 17:49, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
Aw, CHawk beat me to it. Miles (talk) 21:37, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

Dr.PeePee

Umm. Why did you delete this article. Dr. PeePee is commonly considered to be one of the top Falco's in the SSBM metagame today. He also happens to be first in the North Carolina Melee rankings which should be notable by itself. --KoRoBeNiKi (talk) 16:37, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

The entirety of the article when I found it was the Smasherbeta infobox and what follows (retrieved from wiki-records):

Dr PeePee is a smasher from North Carolina. He is well known for how well he played at Revival of Melee II, one of the largest smash tournaments on the east coast. He is known for his use of f-airs in combos.

I didn't find the info that was required to satisfy SW:NOTE, so I deleted it. If you can provide that info, feel free to recreate it. Miles (talk) 18:04, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

IRC

Do you go on IRC?--Megatron1 (talk) 22:38, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

I used to. I rarely do anymore. If you need to contact me, you can do it here or on AiB. Miles (talk) 01:15, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Boss Battle Mode

Are you sure deleting all that information on this page was necessary? If so, why has it been on this page for years with less useful information? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 22:46, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

I decided that the information there was heavily subjective or obvious. Additionally, it didn't really match the sort of content that (in my mind) SmashWiki exists to record. Miles (talk) 02:17, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
But isn't this Wiki's aim is to provide information to aid players who come here? I am sure there have been players who looked at the Boss Battles page looking for information regarding the best tactics to use in Boss Battle Mode, especially for the Intense difficulty. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 03:28, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
But what was there was someone's opinion of "these are the moves to use for Boss Battles" -- we ought to provide the FACTS, not the opinion of how something can be done. Fact wiki =/= strategy guide. Miles (talk) 03:50, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Then why was that section there for so long? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 04:13, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
I hadn't noticed it. :/ Miles (talk) 04:52, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Ok then, I just wanted clarification since I spent over an hour cleaning up that section. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 04:54, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Well he is right. A wiki isn't about opinions. But why do some events tell you how it can be done.--Megatron1 (talk) 04:58, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Also, if this Wiki isn't suppose to have opinionated strategies in it, why is almost the entire Cruel Melee/Brawl article composed of so called "strategies"? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 05:16, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Because I am in college. If I honestly had enough time to devote my full attention, things would have taken a turn around here ages ago. Unfortunately, I and the other users don't have all the time in the world to make sure things are constantly taken care of. Yes, things have become a little to lax around here lately, but since you're the one whose noticing the problems, why not fix them. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 05:30, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Ok then CHawk, I will fix them. I am also in college so please don't mistake me for some high school kid that will complain and point out problems instead of fixing them. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 05:34, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. Sorry if I came off making it sound like you wouldn't actually do anything. My thesis was due yesterday morning, so when I made that edit, I had slept maybe 2 hours of the last 48. Also, now that my thesis is done, I'll have more time to help as well. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 16:11, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
I guess I'll fix them too. Even though I'm in intermediate, I won't complain and poitn out problems.--Megatron1 (talk) 14:25, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
I fully understand, I know that you have to deal with whiny unintelligent users as well as trolls and vandals on a near-daily basis. I also understand that my workload is less than yours, it is going to be years before I have to start working on a thesis. I was just making it clear that I am a productive contributor and not what I mentioned above. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 07:17, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Character Info Box

  • Have you been to BioShock Wiki?(I have A file there, too.)

There are Character Info boxes(charinfobox.there's one in my user page in BSW). Shouldn't there be one here?(if there is one, show me). It shows some stuff about the user, and some fictional stuff too. Until then i'll make my own,but not like it is on BioShock Wiki,if im allowed to.

--Shroomish7Talk 20:50, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

I'd say that through the combination of Smasherbeta, SmashWiki Userbox, the various userbox templates and general wikicode, we've got it covered. Miles (talk) 21:18, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

I think your doing a great job

your really running this wiki so I say keep it up Big Arms

Thanks Miles (talk) 21:54, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

Mushroom Kingdom

Sorry about the last edit on this page. At the time I thought I was editing Mushroom Kingdom from the original SSB. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 22:02, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

No problem. Miles (talk) 01:52, May 18, 2010 (UTC)

Sitenotice error.

It needs to say "Be sure to [...]", not "Make sure to [...]". That doesn't make any sense, and is grammatically incorrect. BNK [E|T|C] 04:29, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
