Minor changes
There are a couple of things I've edited in this article, and I just wanted to give an explanation as to why:
- She was later sent to Planet Zebes to stop the Space Pirates on Zebes, who were attempting to use a newly discovered species called the "Metroids" and destroy Mother Brain, the reprogrammed Aurora Unit who controlled Zebes's ecosystem. - According to the Zero Mission manga, which is canon to the games (chapter 1 and 2 are available as part of the e-manga at Mechadrake's site, 3 and onwards are alowly being provided by this site), Mother Brain was a Chozo creation, long before Aurora Units came into existence. Metroid fans have assumed since Prime 3 that the AUs, in fact, were created based on the original Mother Brain's specs. If this is true, it would make MB the prototype, but not quite an AU herself. Mother Brain from Super Metroid, on the other hand, is very likely an AU, based on one of the Prime 3 preview videos.
- Samus pursued the reborn Meta-Ridley to Tallon IV where she learned that a meteorite had landed on the planet long ago containing an evil creature known as Metroid Prime. - This is still very hotly debated by the Metroid fandom. Most people, though, are now assuming the "Worm" mentioned in prophecies to be the Leviathan core itself, not its guardian. This theory makes the idea of the Metroid coming along for the ride from Phaaze less likely.
- Samus returns in the upcoming Brawl, but is visually updated to resemble her Metroid Prime appearance. - Other than the fact that Brawl is already out and this can be slightly reworded, there's also the fact that her Brawl armor is not based on the Prime series version. Rather, it's a near identical 3D recreation of her final suit from Zero Mission (minus the Gravity Suit coloring). You can actually see the differences between the two in-game, since the Prime Varia Suit has its own trophy. Ironically, it was a Power Rangers message board various other Metroid fans and I realized this at. -_-
For the first two, the changes I've made are mostly an attempt to acquiesce with folks who may disagree with those mentalities; I've tried to word those two to be open-ended to fit both ideas. Arrowned 19:03, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

- Close, but Zero Mission's did not have the extended crotch-plate (from Super) or the segmented helmet tubes (Prime/Fusion). Nitpicky, sure, but it ain't identical to ZM's as you claim. Additionally, the Morph Ball is multicolored like Super's, as opposed to Prime/ZM's monochrome versions. In fact, it's basically SM's suit with the lights from ZM/Prime... but I digress. Mute Samus/vocal ZSS
Is there any way in which this bit of trivia could be added? I figured it might be interesting, since Samus is the only character with multiple forms/alter egos in Smash to only be voiced in one form.--Darthrai (talk) 14:06, 14 November 2015 (EST)
- I personally don't agree with it being notable because the number of "alter egos" is too low; one out of five isn't anything special. Toomai Glittershine Da Bomb 14:08, 14 November 2015 (EST)

Other M personality change
Is it worth noting in any way that Samus' character was changed in Other M and/or that this change didn't carry over to SSB4? While the fact that ZSS keeps her Brawl voice actress and lines/animations doesn't seem to be worth noting, it's also "evidence" of sorts that they didn't change Samus' Smash personality to fit Other M.--Darthrai (talk) 20:19, 14 November 2015 (EST)
