Mario Bros. 2

So, um, what proof do we have that it's from Animal Crossing? I had initially thought it was a Mario Bros. 2 item due to it working similarly to the turnips in that game, but with seemingly no dispute outside of that one IP over it being an Animal Crossing Item, I ask again, where is the proof? This is from list of trophy descriptions on the 3DS version, and I'd take it with a grain of salt since it's all text, but it seems to imply that it is indeed from Mario Bros. 2: "This special grass first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2, where plucking it revealed hidden items. It works exactly the same way in Smash Bros.—if you pluck the grass, maybe you'll find a game-changing object!" - Mistiryshak (talk) 12:39, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
