He is considered one of the best Melee and Brawl players in the USA, due to his great chain throwing skills and his extreme technical style of play. He ranked third in the discontinued Smash Panel Power Rankings and first in the North Atlantic Regional Power Rankings, and he is currently ranked second on the NJ/NY Brawl Power Rankings.

Controversies
Intentional forfeiting/match-throwing
Mew2King has forfeited tournament matches on several occasions, often claiming fatigue or lack of interest in response to his detractors who cite financial gain as his motivation. At MLG D.C. 2010, he lost against Diddy Kong main ADHD in loser's finals. After, he and ADHD discussed splitting, but ADHD offered him $300 of the prize money, which Mew2King accepted. [1]. MLG found them in violation of the rule against "forfeiting or conspiring to manipulate Rankings or Brackets" and banned them both from the 2010 MLG finals.
In May 2011, Mew2King, ADHD, and Anti all received yellow cards under the Unity infraction system for bracket manipulation. This was in response to a situation at KTAR 5, where Mew2King had forfeited to Meta Knight professional Anti in winners' semifinals, defeated Olimar player Dabuz in losers' quarterfinals, and then forfeited to ADHD in losers' semifinals.
Two months later, Mew2King received a red card under the Unity infraction system for choosing Ganondorf and losing against female smasher Sade in pools at Genesis 2. In their decision, the Unity Ruleset Committee cited "intentional under-performance" as their reason for assigning the red card.
Trivia
- Despite being among the highest ranked players in the Brawl community, Mew2King was initially an outspoken critic of the game, claiming that it lacked many of the elements present in Melee'.[2].
