First of all, why is Doc King using exclamation points so much recently? It's extremely annoying. Second of all, any hitbox - unless it's specially coded not to do so - will send targets away from the attacker, no matter what side they're on. Directional attacks like Skull Bash seem like they should only hit people in the direction Pikachu's moving, but it doesn't have to unless coded to do so. So it's generally not important. The problem here is that there are two expected results: the casual player expects to be hit in whatever direction Pikachu's moving because that makes sense, but the technical player expects to be hit the opposite direction Pikachu's moving if the "back" of the attack connects because that's how hitboxes work.
