Ditto. If you would like tomorrow, I'll help you with the SSBB instruction manual descriptions. Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 01:02, 27 September 2011 (EDT)

Character manual descriptions

I think they would work better as a quote at the top of the page, since the booklet descriptions are meant to be a brief summary of the character. I've done something of this sort on the Mario, Peach, and Olimar articles. Tell me what you think. Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 18:52, 27 September 2011 (EDT)

I also suggest doing this for the special moves. ReiDemon 19:03, 27 September 2011 (EDT)

Hey. Just a quick note for when you continue doing what you're doing with the manual descriptions, that rather than putting both the Melee and Brawl descriptions as seperate sections/headings, but 'Manual descriptions' as the main header, with Melee and Brawl as subsections (===Melee==-), as it looks nicer that way. I can't give an example, as it would mess up your talk page, but I've corrected your previous ones, so if you don't understand what I mean, use one of those as an example. Egg Lay nicknamed "Poop" by Nintendo Power

I think that this is notable because Nintendo made Melee, and they also published Nintendo Power. Whether you think the language is foul or not is irrelevant to the notability. And besides, if you thought that this wasn't notable, why didn't you remove this? Or this? Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 19:14, 18 January 2012 (EST)

N64 art

Why are you uploading it....? Miles (talk) 01:17, 19 February 2012 (EST)

To show what the characters looked like during the N64 era. RickTommy (talk) 01:19, 19 February 2012 (EST)
How about you provide a justified reason as to why we need them before uploading more. MegaTron1XD:p 01:23, 19 February 2012 (EST)
Not sure how justified this reason is, but these days, older artwork is quite underrated. Whenever I see character artwork on other sites, I almost always see newer artwork. RickTommy (talk) 02:00, 19 February 2012 (EST)
We are not a specialized Wiki for any of the series. NIWA places already exist for those, and all older artwork can be found in the galleries there. We have already linked people to character's article on the associated NIWA wiki, so there is almost no need to upload older artwork simply for the sake of showing it. MegaTron1XD:p 02:05, 19 February 2012 (EST)
Mega's correct. If someone wants to see N64 era art of Luigi, there is a link in the infobox on Luigi to Luigi on Super Mario Wiki, and from there one can navigate to his artwork gallery. It's not necessary to duplicate that much content unless there's some specific reason to. Miles (talk) 02:19, 19 February 2012 (EST)

Common nouns

Just a heads-up. Nouns like "control stick", "smash attack", "character", "stage" are to be represented in lowercase unless at the beginning of a sentence. Proper nouns like "Mario", "Wii", and "Frenchman" are uppercase, even when not at the beginning of a sentence. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 22:04, 21 February 2012 (EST)

I'm not sure whether "Smash Attack" should be considered a proper noun or not, considering "smash" is not being used as an adjective but as part of the name of the attack. Mr. AnonAnon.pngtalk 22:07, 21 February 2012 (EST)
We don't capitalize moves such as forward tilt, so consistency says smash attack doesn't have to be capitalized. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatumTransparent Swadloon.png 12:07, 22 February 2012 (EST)

As far as I'm aware, this roster isn't being considered real as per SW:NEWGAME. Only the videos that correspond to it, which only confirmed Shulk, Bowser Jr., and Ganondorf.

Notable tags

There's no need for a {{notable}} tag if they're on a PR. They are still notable as they are a part of a PR and are known in that community. F0rZ3r0F0r (talk) 15:16, 10 June 2015 (EDT)

Smasher Articles

Please remember that we would prefer that smasher articles not be created as one liners such as Smasher:Luminous. I am going to keep it because of the infobox, but in the future, please include some results and possibly a little more on the intro. Thanks! Serpent SKSigHalloween.png King 00:34, 13 October 2016 (EDT)

Reminder of this, only this time, what you've made on [Smasher:Figy] isn't even worth keeping. Please actually put effort into your smasher articles next time. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 17:54, 16 January 2018 (EST)
Reminder of this AGAIN, this time on Smasher:ShiNe. Let's go over what a Smasher article needs, and whether or not you did it:
  1. An info box (Yes It's quite detailed, in fact)
  2. A short paragraph summarising the smasher's accomplishments and the smasher themselves (No A single sentence will NOT cut it)
  3. Tournament results (No)
Please, please, PLEASE don't make us tell you again. You must put some effort into making smasher articles. They're a lot of work, yes, but that's pretty much the point of a wiki. Getting lazy means that articles like this will look like they aren't notable, and don't belong on the wiki, resulting in a waste of time for you as well as everyone else. Refer to SW:SMASHER if you need help creating Smasher articles, as well as the rules on Smasher article notability. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. April Fools'

You're going a bit overboard in your silly edits. Tone it down. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Yoshi 22:31, 31 March 2017 (EDT)

You took it too literally

When I said "Sakurai approved" you took it far too literally. The point is, Nintendo's localisation team have NEVER referred to more than one Kirby as "Kirbies", only ever "Kirbys". Also, 23 pages on the wiki use Kirbys, while only 8 use Kirbies. We need consistency, and it would make sense to use the name that A. is already used in far more articles, and B. is used by Nintendo themselves. I am guessing that if I changed them back to Kirbys it would be considered "edit warring", so I would like to sk if you would kindly change it back to Kirbys. Alex Parpotta (talk) 06:32, 10 May 2017 (EDT)

I'd further like to point out that three of the five edits you undid, you used Rollback for. Please keep in mind that Rollback should ONLY be used for vandalism, not for anything else. Your use of Rollback this time is not an appropriate use of it. Black Vulpine (talk) 10:44, 10 May 2017 (EDT)

Starting roster for Ultimate

Nintendo have stated explicitly that the starting roster will be only who were in the original game. While it's currently debated whether or not this includes the unlockable four, there should be no debate whatsoever for Bowser and Peach. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 01:41, 25 September 2018 (EDT)

Hi there, please do not edit war with other users. Please read SW:1RV-- continually reverting each others' edits is not a positive contribution to the wiki. – Emmett 06:40, 25 September 2018 (EDT)

Redirects

When making redirect pages, please consider the likelihood of people actually searching for those names or using them as links. In the case of 'LUCARIO', 'StreetPassTM Quest' and 'StreetPass™ Quest' (the latter of which I had to copy-paste), nobody will actually be using or searching for these. Also, the latter example I provided, you ended up linking to another redirect, which is also a no-no. Please try to take more consideration in what is useful, and what is unnecessary fluff. Thank you. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 00:24, 7 January 2019 (EST)

Smasher articles v2

Quick reminder to indicate what game a tournament result represents. You forgot about them for Funcrazyfish and Deus.
On a separate note, since you created those pages, can you find Funcrazyfish's Melee main (I'm not so sure if it's Link or not) and Deus's Ultimate main? CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 16:10, December 19, 2019 (EST)

Tagging redirects for deletion

When tagging redirects for deletion, please put it on top of the page instead of the bottom. That way, the redirect would be removed, thereby making it easier to delete. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 09:14, March 7, 2020 (EST)

Other Smasher resource

Hey, sorry for another post in close proximity. Anyways, I've seen that you've been creating many Smasher pages tagged with missing results. I recommend using Smashdata to search for Melee, Smash 4 and Ultimate tournaments; although there are still many missing Melee and Smash 4 tournaments, it should be enough so that you won't need to add the results tag for every Smasher page you create. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 19:58, March 10, 2020 (EDT)

A bit late but

You might want to be careful about this next time, specifically the callout to Smashbrosfan99. Although it's not flat out a personal attack and said user hasn't edited in forever, potentially negative callouts like that to users can still cause problems, especially if said user comes back. 001Toad.jpg OmegαToαd the Toαd Wαrrior (BUP) 23:34, April 4, 2020 (EDT)

Goldeen voice actor

Hey, I noticed that in 2016 you added that Goldeen was voiced by Veronica Taylor in Super Smash Bros. 64. Where does this information come from? I noticed it was missing from Bulbapedia, but wanted to make sure it was properly sourced. --SnorlaxMonster 00:01, August 19, 2020 (EDT)

Notability tag

Hey, I noticed you recently tagged several players with the notability tag. A quick heads up, anyone who is ranked on a PR is considered notable on the wiki. That includes the Oklahoma players. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 22:34, March 29, 2021 (EDT)

Smasher question

Question, why do you add the results tag to every single Smasher page you create? I get it’s because not all the notable results are in the tables, but I also don’t see you go back to these Smasher pages that often, and as a result the maintenance category for results continues to increase. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 02:53, April 15, 2022 (EDT)

Sorry about that. I've just always been one of those users who like seeing articles they create get improved (or at least noticed) by others. RickTommy 01:40, April 16, 2022 (EDT)

Do not create low effort Smasher pages

This is borderline enough that I won't delete it instantly, however just a single sentence and two results is below what's acceptable, I expect that you put more work into that article than the bare minimum, and not create low effort articles again in the future. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 12:12, April 23, 2022 (EDT)

PAL name

On Kirby’s trivia section on List of character profiles, it talks about the PAL name, but you didn’t put it there for Fox. 174.55.24.64 21:02, May 30, 2022 (EDT)

Other characters

I seen in a recent edit that you added Brawl Pit to NinjaLink's already bloated infobox, while I could not find a single result on here nor on Smashboards reporting him using Pit. I don't know where you got him using Pit from, but in any case, do not inflate character usage in infoboxes with trivial characters. Smasher infoboxes used to be notoriously bloated before with characters that the players never seriously used in tournaments, and the wiki had to make a concentrated effort to fix this (while there are still many players with unfixed sections).

When adding other characters to a smasher infobox, only add characters that are legitimate secondaries, which means the player uses them in actual tournament sets (so no characters they just fuck around with on streams), against legitimate opponents (so not just pool scrubs they could beat with anyone), with some real degree of success (so not a character they bust out just to lose with), and with some matter of frequency (so no one-offs like Nairo's Ult Ganon either). And it has to be reasonably current; if the player no longer uses the character (or within like the last six months or tournaments of their career for retired players), then don't list them either, or if the player did have significant enough usage and success with the character, then they can be listed as a retired character instead (like Armada's Young Link). This may seem heavy-handed for you just adding a single character to a long-retired player's infobox, but we really do not want our infoboxes becoming the bloated messes they used to be before, and I do not know if you ever got the memo on it when you're not in the discord server and I never seen you participate in the prior linked forum thread nor the subsequent cleanup. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 08:40, March 14, 2023 (EDT)

Stubbing

Hi, the smasher articles you have been creating had just enough put into them to not be deemed low effort, but if you're not going to write any more non-results content than just a sentence or two that only states who someone plays and where they're from, at least tag them as stubs. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 21:55, May 18, 2023 (EDT)

A heads up

Hi, we recently decided that with results on Smasher pages, we want to start listing the amount of entrants each tournament had in addition to the player's placement, as well as denote majors by bold text and supermajors by bold + italic text. Refer to our guidelines for how it should be formatted. Any results you add to the wiki from now on should abide to this, even if it's currently inconsistent with how the rest of the results on someone's page is displayed (though we would also appreciate people fixing this for already listed results too, since it's work that cannot be relegated to bots). Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 10:54, June 8, 2023 (EDT)
