The Trowlon (ファウロン, Faulong) is an enemy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary mode. It first appears in the Forest level. Trowlons are characterized by a distinct whooshing sound that plays during the moment of their entrance. Trowlons lift the player and fly away to the top of the screen with the player on their back, in an attempt to kill above the upper blast line. It may also attack the player with its beak to force the player on; if the hit is not teched on the Trowlon's back the delay in getting up may result in being carried away. Hitting it will make it fall down, dazed for a limited time. If on the Trowlon, the player can usually perform a down smash or down tilt to defeat one, but the part of the body right behind the Trowlon is raised and can be hit by forward attacks.
Name origin
Trowlon's name is a combination of the words trowel, describing its disruptive act of shoveling characters onto its back and flying upwards in a fashion similar to a fish being caught with a hook and brought to the surface, and on.
