Abra (ケーシィ, Casey) is a Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It briefly appears in the introduction movie of Melee and later as a Poké Ball summon in Ultimate.
Origin
Abra is a Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #063 as the "Psi Pokémon". It evolves into Kadabra starting at level 16, which evolves into Alakazam when traded. It is notorious for only learning Teleport by leveling-up, which means that in wild battles it will run away whenever given an opportunity to act, thus being difficult to catch.
Teleport is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation I, where it was also TM30. When used by a wild Pokémon or during a wild encounter, the user will flee from battle, ending it. The move will fail when the opponent uses a trapping move, has a trapping ability, or is in a non-single battle. If a player uses it outside of battle, they'll be taken back to the last place they healed at.
