Deflagration was a European Super Smash Bros. for Wii U major tournament held in Strasbourg, France from February 2nd-4th, 2018. It was the biggest tournament ever held in Strasbourg, and one of France's most stacked tournaments, with competitors such as Cyve, Glutonny, LoNg0uw, LuiS, iStudying, Elexiao, QuiK, Griffith, Meru and more. This tournament is part of the European Smash 4 Pro Circuit, and was one of the Midwest Mayhem 11 qualifying tournaments. This tournament was the product of a collaboration between SweetSpot asbl. and the Smash Unleashed crew.

- The tournament is a collaboration between two organisations, SweetSpot asbl. from Luxembourg (TraX, Otek, Feetza, Sanlucks, Crysis), and Smash Unleashed from Strasbourg (Hedgeon, Kaora, Dadrik, Yosheroce, Fire, etc...)
- Deflagration was a double qualifier for both the European Smash 4 Pro Circuit and the Midwest Mayhem 11 EU Tour
- Glutonny being already qualified for the ES4PC finals and for Midwest Mayhem 11, Griffith got the qualifying spots, even though he didn't win the event, placing 2nd.
- A crewbattle between France and Germany occurred on Sunday 4th February. It was a 3v3 between Glutonny, Elexiao, Myollnir for France, and Cyve, QuiK, LoNg0uw for Germany. France won the crewbattle with 4 stocks left, without Elexiao even needing to play. Myollnir took 5 stocks, while Glutonny took 4.
