Sonic and Mario (ソニックとマリオ, Sonic and Mario) is the 17th co-op event match out of a total of 21 in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Player 1 controls Sonic while Player 2 controls Mario. The goal of this event is to defeat three other Mario's and three other Sonic's on the Green Hill Zone stage. The foes will appear in alternating order, starting with Sonic. Two opponents can be present on the stage at a time, so KOing both will result in one of each on the stage.
Trivia
- The name and description of this event match imply that this event alludes to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, the first official Mario and Sonic crossover.
- Of all the 62 event matches this is the only one that one of the two Co-Op players uses the same character twice (Mario)-*Mario from the first co-op event which is Co-Op Event 1: Two Trouble Kings.*.
